@newworldafro , re: your anti-war outlook

@newworldafro, re: your sudden adoration for Jimmy Dore.

I don't care who is against warmongering for no reason.

Liberal, conservative, independent.

I do not care. It's the principle.

If Tucker Carlson has had a change of heart, great.

I fuuck with Jimmy Dore because he calls out bullshiit in not only conservatives, but his own side of the political/ideological spectrum.

That's the real testament of an objective principled person is when you can explain inconsistencies among people you normally agree with. All the pundits I elevate and say I fuuck with are like that. Their not perfect with it, but they at least recognize bullshiit no matter where It's coming from.

Your point here makes no sense, because Jimmy Dore's criticism isn't even correct.

You f*ck with him based on the perception of him "calling out bullsh*t".

You're not even examining his criticisms to verify if they're true or false.

I fukking hate Jimmy Dore. Kyle is good on some issues, but he doesn’t understand the complexity of Black issues. I’m all for Medicare for all, being anti war, and free college. Those issues will help everyone including Black people. However, Black people have specific issues that need to be address. We can work with these type of white progressive on certain things. In general most of them support criminal justice reform. However we have to keep in mind that we have isssues like reparations that a lot of them won’t support. For those issues we can’t be afraid to push our agenda.

This is a really fair review on Kyle imo. I think he's the type that if you engaged the right way and offered supporting materials, he'd at least consider what you propose but that's not something I'd argue over...I just think it's worth a try.

this is the way smart groups get shyt done for their own people. gotta be able to work with people where your interests coincide.

reparations are a non starter right now though b/c that's something that even most white folks with whom you may share political preferences will never support. this is an interesting article discussing support based on generational differences.

Millennials may eventually shift public opinion on slavery reparations

i dont think reparations will be a viable issue for at least another couple of generations.

Do you think Rachel Maddow eats candied yame? Do you think Rachel maddow can list the top 10 black restaurants she has eaten at?

That’s why white people have no interest in reparation.

I don’t disagree. Kyle is easier to deal with than conservatives, but he seem to really dislike identity politics. I understand calling out the Hillary Clinton pandering type of identity politics, but he almost want to focus completely on class and economic issues. There are underlined issues of race in all of these issues. I really didn’t like when he criticized Beto O’Rourke’s statement about Karpernick. Kyle said he agreed with Beto, but he should of just give a generic answer. That made me look a Kyle kind of funny. Hopefully he has rethinking some of his ideas. He just made a video criticizing how the cop that killed Tamir Rice got another police job.

Yeah,
We have a lot of work to do. Before we even approach white people and other groups on reparations, we have to get the majority of Black people on board with it. The amount of Black people against reparations is shocking. I think it mainly because they don’t think it can happen. People don’t seem to understand how to fight for policy. People been fighting for universal healthcare for decades. We need to do the same with reparations.
