I could understand what people are saying if the officers had actually pulled him over for no reason. But he was driving in a car without tags. Obviously we know its because it was a car that was just being test driven, but the cops have no way of knowing that without confirmation. People get pulled over for their tags every day, my fiancé got pulled over for expired ones just last week.
I can understand him first saying to call the dealership, that's probably what I would have done to confirm (or even asked the cops to follow me there since it was so close). But after they called and couldn't get anyone on the line, he should have complied. Doing all this refusing escalated the situation for no reason because he was in the right and simply had to show them so.
Breh, people don't want to use common sense. They're either trolling, obtuse, or just too damaged to see beyond their fear of the "man/system".
