Breh, people don't want to use common sense. They're either trolling, obtuse, or just too damaged to see beyond their fear of the "man/system".

Breh, people don't want to use common sense. They're either trolling, obtuse, or just too damaged to see beyond their fear of the "man/system".
Problem here is that people just dont understand legality and individual rights.
The cop encountered a lawful citizen, and thru the officers aggressive tactics and behavior, he turned the situation into an unlawful and dangerous one. The exact behavior that our constitution guards against.
If not having tags was the problem, why not just ticket him for that? Or if the cop strongly suspected the vehicle was stolen, why not arrest him for that? Why? Because the officer knew the car was a test drive, and he'd look like an idiot arresting or citing him for that. Thats why his goal was to harrass and embarrass him, so that he could hopefully provoke him into reacting, and he would have cause to arrest him for something that occurred AFTER their initial contact.
If this were a simple stop where the officer was in the right, then why are the media doing stories on this? Because they know the law, and they know the black man's rights were violated. They know an officer's job is not to act like a judge, and make citizens prove thier innocence for whatever batsht assumptions he has in his head. The streets are not a courtroom. They know the cop was in the wrong, just like a jury will know when he sues and wins. Sorry kaks n houseboys, but the bill of rights applies to black men too, much to ur chagrin.

yeah, the police department issued a self serving statement about the situation (that doesn't sound logical), so it's apparent what happened. you keep lettin these people uniform treat you like anything, I'm cool.That dumb nikka, apparently

Im defending the rights of a completely innocent, law abiding citizen. U and ur ilk are celebrating the actions of a cop who stepped out of the bounds of legality, in order to harrass a legally responsible citizen, yet, somehow, im the one who is angry and has a problem. Good sht.

I get the feeling that guy was fukked either way here. Even if he let the cops see the paper they would have find a way to screw with him.

So if he showed them the papers and it clearly stated it was a test driven car, what else would they of done? why ask for the papers in the first place if you are intent on screwing the guy over? wouldn't less proof be better for the cop?

Why would the cops call the dealership? I've been stopped before without papers, they didnt call my house... They ran the tags (which he didnt have) and saw the registrants name and address (they had my license) and I was good to go with no ticket or problems.
It's his job to prove the car is a test drive not there's. The "paper" was probably proof of a test drive if he would have given it to them...
