298 million is only available if he chooses to take increment amounts within certain amount of years. Usually its something like 20 to 30 years. Say if it was 30 years and he chose that. For the next 30 years every year, he will get 10 million after taxes probably 6.5 million.

The other is to take a lump sum which is always 2/3 the amount. Most lottery winners choose that. Get that money and the fukk out and dodge.

I’d take the payments. Your estate gets them when you die, so you can set up your fam when you’re gone and spend what you can while you’re alive.
