I got an ass whooping when I was a kid. We had two buses that left school in the evening. I had some stuff to do so was bound for the second bus. My younger brother was like ten years old or something. I was 13. It's a big campus. Around 80 acres so you can't track anyone down. No cellphones back in those days. He's nowhere to be seen so i'm assuming he left with the first bus like he's supposed to. I mean I used to do it myself from when i was about 7 or 8 years old before he joined me. First bus is at 4 pm. Second bus is at 6 pm. I get home off the second bus my folks ask me where my brother is. I'm like

Turns out he walked like 20 kilometers home. Took him like three or four hours. Got to the house, dropped his bag and said I'm TIRED

Got my ass whooped

I'm about to remind him of that story.

I understand why my folks were upset. I can't imagine a 6 year old on the road in the snow and noone even knew it.

He should have sense enough to know that the school is going to call them people since that's a baby walking into school basically barefoot in the middle of winter... to keep it a brick, he probably knows her family

I initially had a similar question - why let that baby walk barefoot in the snow? why not carry her? Then I realized people would have been calling him a pedo.

If it's too cold then that's the schools fault for even having school.

They cancel school in my area if the weather is too dangerous for kids to walk or too dangerous for kids wait at bus stops.

The first time I ever remember hearing about negative temperatures I was in 5th grade. They cancelled school and told people to stay home.

I called my boy at like 9 in the morning and was like "let's meet at the school and we will go to your house" it just seemed cold and windy I was layered up so I wasn't bothered.

Then when I got to the school the wind blew crazily and we were messing around like we were Arctic explorers or something and I turned to face the wind as it was blowing and it made my eyes water and when I closed my eyes, the tears froze and stuck together on my eye lashes and I had to pull off the little pieces of ice. Man we laughed for like 2 hours.

Anyway this girls parents need her their ass whooped.

It was perfectly normal in the 90s for small children to walk around in 20 degree weather in crocs? Stop it. This is a clear CPS case. It's not just some little kid walking to school on a normal day.

From what ive read the girl was left by her sisters,it wasnt inteded for her to walk in crocs. But i just mean as far as walking to school,the only part thats wrong is the fact that sick pedophiles exist. Kids walking to school is no big deal at all. And it must not be still,because the teachers didnt seem concerned in the least bit. So it must be pretty common. Also 20 degrees is not that bad if you live in the midwest unless the wind is cold as hell. Its not the end of the world or sign of bad parenting. Whats the difference when you let your kids go outside to play up and down the block? Alot of parents have simply been scared out of allowing this
