The furthermore, I don't think A government entity like the Dod can just fire people for what they say the way a private corporation can. They're actually held by the first amendment in a way that wellsfargo or apple aren't.


I think they're exceptions for protected classes of people where You can't disparage them while being in a position of power. But I don't think mocking somebody's death exceeds the limits of the first amendment. That would be a pretty big lawsuit.

Yea I’m not even sure how this would work. Promotions in the military are based on off of your reports (OERs, NCOERs, fit reps etc) unless the SecDef says you will give this marine a bad report, which is another can of worms, I think the media misinterpreted what’s going on
