Freedom of speech limitations have a huge gap when it comes to social media, as the courts have yet to fully address where the lines are re: personal vs institutional.

Authoritarian types have been accordingly taking full advantage.
Yeah because he is armed forces and it’s social media I can’t say if this is allowed. The government firing him is 100% 1st amendment rights though. That is pretty clear cut. Even as an employer.

Don’t even get me started on the Supreme Court being a bunch of radical republicans who can’t do shyt but eat trumps ass.

Shiittt Charlie kirk was extremely powerful, this a big loss for republicans and conservatives across the board. He was responsible for turning gen z to conservatives on his back. This a massive loss he was great at organizing. He also probably was the most impactful person in trumps victory when it comes to youth outreach. Gen z loved him this a significant loss

Nobody is co signing you because you obviously don't know the process of what it takes to completely discharge a soldier from the military. And I retired from the Army in 2018 when MAGA was in full effect so your poor attempt at a joke falls flat.

Thats what I was thinking. Can Secretary of defense just fire an officer all wily nilly like this idiot just did?

The wording is off because you can't just 'fire' a Marine. The article says he had numerous positions and is no longer active as a recruiter so the assumption is just that he's been relieved from being a recruiter to appease and not kicked out of the military.
Wrong! Military Officers can indeed be fired by either the President or Secretary of War for misconduct.

See this is what I said about I don’t know the military. They don’t operate under civilian law or have civilian protections. Civilian wise this is a clear breach of 1st amendment rights since the government is the employer.

You were never in the military, I was. It's obvious you don't know what u are talking about. There is a process for being discharged from the military and it doesn't happen in one day, especially for someone with rank just for saying the things he said on social media. I looked at other news outlets, like I said, he was fired from his position as a recruiter, he isn't kicked out of the military.

Here is another article. It says he was relieved of recruiting duties not kicked out of the military.

He's more then likely going to get an Article 15. A discharge for misconduct has a time period if that were going to happen and the article says there is an 'investigation.'. There is no article saying he has been discharged because that doesn't happen in 1 day. Do not speak on things you know not of concerning the military if you've never put on the uniform.
