I see this all the time IRL and the shyt is hilarious...mixed guys with white or non-black dads are just as "colorist" as they claim full BM are. Just about every mixed guy with a white dad that I know dates almost exclusively white women. I saw this all in college...they'll have black male friends, but date white and mixed women.

I know that just has to burn their mom's up inside knowing that the child you created with a man of another race--refuses to date women who are just like you--for the very sme reason that you didn't want a black man.

That hatred that they have for BM, has been recycled back to them through their own child...it's a bitter sweet justice.

You know that's why I think before people have kids they really need to have a little introspection and determine their weakness or problems. Because just like people like to harp about the good qualities they distill into their children, there's also the other half that finds its way at whatever percentage you may perceive it.

In my home city and even at my 5-7% Black university, the majority of Black people I know date and hang within their own race. The women even more so than the men. Colorism isn’t as rampant as what I see online. I’m probably about Solange’s color, maybe a shade deeper and out of all the schoolyard bullying kids do to each other, I have never been mocked for my skin color and I’ve never seen it done to anyone else. The only spoken instance of “colorism” I’ve seen are with my four little cousins. Three of the sisters(full Black) are between the shades of Mariah and Beyoncé like their parents(mom is my cousin) while one is slightly darker than Kelly Rowland like her grandmother(my aunt). I’ve seen them joke about it but never have they called her ugly because it would be an absolute lie and she’s the girliest of the four.

Maybe it’s different outside of the Midwest(I’m from Missouri) but online, Black people seem so much more toxic on subjects regarding interracial dating, colorism, gender, etc. than in real life.

The Coli and LSA is just another symptom of it.

Between the Coli and LSA you would think 50% of all educated attractive Black people date out. I keep telling them we date out less than any other minority group in this country and AAs date out less than any other diaspora Black group in a majority non-Black country. But folks will ride whatever narrative they want. Tbh a lot of the IR backlash on theColi started with the bombardment of the BW/WM images in the media which I acknowledge are way overrepresentative compared to reality.
