There's some truth to this. But at the same time the last few girls I've been with were part-time natural. And no matter how much I asked them to wear their natural hair the majority of time when around me they wouldn't. The reasoning they'd give as to why they don't always wear had to do with everyone(opinions/looks) except for me.

Natural hair is an excellent repellent for warding off pesky black men. This is one of the primary reasons why i rock my kinky tresses on a daily basis.
