Honestly, I'm beginning to think that those who are holding the black community from getting ahead aren't just women who fail to take responsibility for themselves, but the males who come up with one excuse after another to ignore the fact that many of them just have assbackwards priorities. It's becoming pretty clear that many of you nikkaz are the first line of defense.

Women back then had choices just as they do today. There were nikkaz running the streets who weren't marriage material and they were NOT the most prized males worthy of procreating with like they are today. Back then, women EXPECTED to be married, and THEN have children. The man was EXPECTED to have a job and to help raise the children. If you came at a black woman in the 60s without a square job and EXPECTING to get laid without getting married,you were definately NOT considered worth the time or effort. NOW you no longer need a job, or a marriage proposal (let alone be marriage material) . It has nothing to do with "needs" but everything to do with priorities.

And it's not a question if "men wanted"....we already know what some of those guys DON'T want. That's a point that quite a few of you fail to acknowledge.

There are MEN who are worthy of procreating with and there are men who aren't.

What some men are "emphasizing" on here is for women to LEAVE those men who are not worthy of procreating with.

If he's a bum LEAVE him alone. Don't try to rehab him, it's not worth the time energy or heachache.

Why some of you spend your energy on trying to get men with bad intentions to some how clean up their acts after the fact, rather than to preach for women simply choose men with good intentions is simply beyond me, especially when they are the ones who are suffering the most from all of this.
