I'm saying. It all comes down to responsibility Her pops was telling me stories of what he had to go through to be with his wife. He had to meet all her brothers, uncles, and pops, and be vetted. He said I'm gonna go through the same thing, so I need to get my mind right.

I remember on 4th of July I went over for a bbq, and i was sitting at the table eating ribs () and minding my business, I look up and about 15 nikkas is gathered round me at the table with the face on.

I had to answer every single question they had. Where I went to school, who I work for, have I ever had an STD, do I got kids, and do I realize that if I tried to do their fam dirty, I was gon get this work.

But anyways, the onus of dating and sex are generally placed on women. Ya'll choose who to date and who to fukk. The fact that ya'll are so attracted to dusty-cornroll havin', weed-smellin', generic tattoo rockin' ass nikkas is naturally gonna set up future generations of black youth for failure. The black community has made it "cool" to embrace negative stereotypes. The "I don't give a fukk" attitude is killing us. The anti-academic attitudes are killing us. People being clowned for succeeding in anything outside of hip-hop and sports is killing us. I work with a lot of youth, and these kids are terrified of it being known that they're smart or that they think outside the box because they know they'll be clowned for it.

You don't wanna acknowledge this, but many men construct their swagger/personas in a way they think will get them women. Therefore, a woman's preference in men generally causes men to want to fit that mold. Now imagine if you broads started being attracted to articulate, goal-oriented, ambitious brothas that had some real substance and depth . Brothas would mold into that. I guarantee the community would do a 180 and we'd go back to being the proud black folks we were doing the 60s and 70s.

Nope not even, you dont have to take care any kids actually. Mentoring is when u take the time out of your day to hang out with kids and teach them life lessons and advice on stuff. I mentor for 2 years at a program for youth and i would basically chill with the kids and show them its more to life then the hood.

The programs pay for fishing trips and sporting events etc. We even had College players and a couple of nba players come to our center and speak with them. I mean u bytch and complain bout black women then how bout u fix the situation with the youth. Father not there and fukk it u have a chance to change lives. I'll simplify it because I actually have an essay on it. (On how economics or lack of economics changes a culture.)

Integration ultimately hurt the black community because all the black customers felt the white man's ice water was colder so they only patronized white businesses.

Black businesses collapsed. Blacks then discovered that white men would allow blacks to get in their sandbox, but wouldn't give them any toys.

Even after integration, a lot of businesses refused to hire black men who graduated college.

This is where it branches off in two directions:
The educated black men couldn't take care of their families so they left out of shame.
The non-educated blacks working factory jobs were then seeked because they at least had a source of income that could provide for a family.

Then came drugs and ultimately the war on drugs:
Factory jobs became outsourced and the uneducated blacks felt the same fate as the educated blacks felt in the 60s.
Those men then felt shamed and left their families.
The DRUG DEALERS then become sought out because right or wrong, they had money, while factory workers and educated blacks struggled to find work.
The war on drugs had blacks getting 20 year sentences for non-violent crimes.

Black women started working (they were more likely to be hired because whites didn't see them as threats. Remember, MEN build. Women just need to take care of their kids, so whites didn't fear hiring them.) Enter the black matriarchy... Manhood destroyed.

That's the generational side of it. The war on drugs goes a lot deeper. Add the rise of hiphop and the glorification of "the ghetto" and then it becomes a cultural issue. Enter the "strong independent black woman."

Before the drug dealers were seen as a necessity for when the educated and blue collar blacks didn't have money.
Now the hood black men are seen as "what's hot" and are promoted.

I think the blame has to be equally set.

'Cause personally, I have a female family member who I'm sure has had two kids just for the check. And it pains me to say 'cause that's fam, but I'd put her in the category of the women sleeping with no good men. But at the same time, she has another kid with a good dude, but he doesn't want to be with her since she isn't doing shyt. And he gets hit with that burden of doing things for the other kids that aren't his. (like if you bring one kid something, but the others don't have anything, shyt would be ill)

She's wrong for picking the wrong dudes to have sex with, not protecting herself, for having kids outside of her means. And he's wrong for having a kid with her when her shyt isn't together.

I really don't think young black kids know ALL the shyt that goes into having a kid. And even outside of black America. 'Cause we see from MTV, they've made having kids a popular, mainstream and hip thing.
