A lot of people actually don't have families. Imagine knowing only your moms side of the family and not even all of them. Its really f*cked up out here in some people situation
True and it’s sad. Which was basically what I was referring to. The “community” will never be a thing when we don’t attend to our own family structures first. Fix your homes before you try and change the world

Why you miserable ass narcissist always think because you're unhappy the rest of us have to be?

Why is it that when people like you give up hope you gotta try to siphon the hope from the rest of us too?

Naw fam YOU'RE alone. YOU can't count on anyone.

Negative ass mfs like you do as much damage as White supremacists and gang bangers.

Spreading your negative toxic ass self deprecating loser mentality.

If that's how you feel log off. Black social media is miserable enough.

I'll beat you like a bytch.

What does it mean to have a community?

I have friends, siblings and other family I could call on for help if I needed it. That's what I call a community.

I would never rely on the Government or any Institutional body to have my interest at heart either. These people are out to make money/stay in power and any good they do along the way is simply a by-product of fulfiling their primary functions

Too many of yall have fantastical ideas of what 'community' is and what ours should look like. People act like if every single black person isn't "on code" or if we ever have dissenting opinions/arguments, it's the death of the community and that isn't the case. Every black person isn't pro-community and they don't have to be. It still doesn't mean that we're "alone" and have to write off millions of people.

It's Narcissism. A lot of these so called "conscious" Black "leaders" are on that same type of time. OP wants some unachievable fantasy of how all Black folk should behave 100% of the time. I knew someone like this in real life. I had to cut her miserable ass off bytch was making me depressed.

All Facts. This new Black pessimism/nihilism that’s being presented pro-black is one of the worst things I’ve been seeing lately. Belief is one of the strongest forces you have and once you lose that… you’re doomed

Family is actually the pathway to the community. Mother or Father introduce you to the neighbors next door/down the street. Brothers and sisters introduce you to their friends in the neighborhood. Our problem is way bigger than poverty and is actually rooted in lack of education, lack of community, and extreme selfishness.

wait, what???? :wtf:

I can’t even give you a specific one. I just know he has several threads on here like this berating the black community while comparing us to whites and other fantasy threads like what would it be like to wake up white. :mjlol: But will then put on his cape and argue with someone when they make valid criticism of rap music/culture

Black men have always been alone and never had allies for the most part

U pretty much can't do anything as a black man without getting criticized

With that said ur immediate family is most important

If u don't have immediate family than ur really on ur own

Outside people aren't gonna care about u. Now u may have some friends who do but that it

I feel like a lot of "conscious" Black folks have disdain for the community and that's why they're always so damn miserable and frustrated. How can you advocate for something you dislike? Their main focus is their hatred for white folks and "pro-blackness" is just a way for them to express that hatred. But they still never shed that inferiority complex they have and it shows when they talk about black folks like we're a bunch of damn dogs all the time.

I learned the hard way when I worked at a non profit organization and went into the shelter. Hence why I always tell folks to do for self. The days of the 60s and etc are long dead. There is no community no more, its just allies and friends with benefits. You could get lucky with some folks that will hold you up, but there are plenty that will shut you down or not even let you prosper because of jealousy.

For every black organization and family that nitpicks fellow folks, there's a few that will go out of their way to help you succeed in life. Yet, at the end of the day...we will never be on code because we are constantly having a syntax error within ourselves....

The nerve of this nikka:gucci: Did this community not help you out?

Are their not dozens if not hundreds of Black owned non-profits in the U.S. alone dedicated to helping out other Black people?

But CERTAIN segments of Black folks take and take and ask and ask and want to fall on a sword as soon as someone says "no"

It's really fukking offensive how you and OP discount all the good Black folks do because y'all going thru a rough patch right now. shyts sad. And the worse part y'all want to recruit people to your pity party. Smh.
