Who cares? I have had mine since I was 16. My friends have theirs. The vast majority of my relatives have theirs. My parents travel and my (paternal) grandparents have also traveled abroad.

Sorry if having a passport is such a foreign concept to you. You should expand your world it that's the case.

I have no idea what "ratchets" do. I don't move in those circles but since you are so well-versed it is obvious that you do. Perhaps you should expand your social circle to include people who enjoy traveling and exploring other countries/cultures.

I find it very sad that even the idea that some black Americans actually do travel abroad is such an unimaginable notion to certain types.

I agree. If I were in a similar situation I too would travel the globe and get the men I couldn't get locally because of stiff competition and my general wackness. With my American passport in hand promising wealth and running water I wouldn't question at all why I would complain about gold diggers in America as I spend thousands of dollars to holiday abroad to socialise with people whose only interest in me is the value of my nationality.

I have brothers that grew up in the UK in the 80's and being black then was a little tougher but they said it was the era white women just started to get into them, but for me it has been such a blessing being black growing up in the 90's and 00's....It has been a positive for me and being Black is fukking beautiful.
