What teachers do you know struggling to provide for their families?

teachers make enough to provide for their family and have enough off time to be there with their kids

thats not always the case...my pops is on the board of education from where i grew up..ive personally seen contracts for some of these teachers and what they make...a good amount of them are very underpaid...and yes it takes them sometime and tenure to reach higher salaries...shyt its a mindfukk when you also see contracts of janitors in those schools and their starting salary is like 2 or 2.5x higher than a teachers :heh:

I didn't go to college and might go get a master's to just make 60k
Don’t they do forgiveness if you work at certain schools? I know you get deals on real estate too if you’re a teacher.

You might make a difference in a child’s life that alters their path in a positive way. I understand your trepidation though but it sounds like the universe is opening up a path for you.

Ummm what? Your response does not address my comment at all. I’ve been seeing people talk about how hard it is to educate their own kids. How can you uniformly place blame on woman teachers?

You on point. I work for a charter school. I do everything I can for the kids. I’m not even a teacher(work for Ops) and when ever somebody fukks up I use every opportunity to get in their ass. Specially my middle schoolers. I make them personally responsible for their actions. I’m always their for kids because I had people who looked out and mentored me. I grew in one of the worst possible circumstances and their input saved my fukking life. I’m returning the favor.

Easily look at the scores

Three quarters of all teachers in the us are women. And we've fallen behind. They aren't commanding respect to get the proper act right out of the kids. It's time to make them 25 percent to enhance the test scores. Starting with black male teachers.

Listen I know personally. The black men and even the white men make a huge fukking difference. Half of the female teachers are bullshytting. The other half are really good. The reason for that is because they fukking care.

Sigh. Your response shows just how much you understand about education in the US. Teachers are the ones who are constantly pushing back mandates from the state or US level. If they can’t get change on the policy level they push back in the classroom and put themselves on the line. Make sure you know what you’re talking about before you start on placing blame

And another thing: Scores don’t mean shyt! Especially if you’re talking about kids that come from Black and Latino background. Those tests are Eurocentric at best and racist at truth. Educate yourself!

And like I just said put black male teachers in those roles so they can show the kids how to play the game correctly and or put up the fight to get the curriculum changed.

Women havnt even fought to make these drastic changes youve mentioned. They can push but they don't push enough. Probably because the people they're pushing against have designated them to a specific role and don't want their input. It's time for the bruhs to step in. The ladies have helped us survive but now it's time to rise.
