i think the whole "swag" era is whack. tight clothes, sagging/colored pants etc. those pics that are posted above me illustrate the terrible fashion sense of my peers.

dude really thinks he's a baller too. Black people need to chill with this hyper-consumer mentality, especially when they have nothing of SUBSTANCE to brag about.

i think we need to understand that the brand doesnt matter as much as the fit. those outfits look awful imo. my everyday outfits are cheap as hell, but they actually fit me properly

use the money towards other tings

A pair of Jordan's is cute when you're 13. Owning 10 pairs of Jordan sneakers doesn't have shyt on owning a Fortune 500 company, or even having a great paying job. Waiting in line for a pair of sneakers doesn't have shyt on waiting online to get on a plane to Italy for vacation.

I don't wanna hurt no feelings, but the thread starter is right:yeshrug:

I've never been able to vibe with nikkaz who're fixated on fashion like that.

Don't get me wrong, I dig a nice, crisp, coordinated fit

But I've known dudes who'd work 2 or 3 jobs strictly to finance their wardrobe.

It just seems like some vain shyt to be preoccupied with.

Like everything in life its not zero sum. You can own to pairs of Js have a "great" paying job, wait on line for sneaks and go to Italy. Everybody who loves Js isn't a an over obsessed swag-head :manny:

I didn't say you couldn't. The people who obsess over sneakers generally don't have well paying jobs. My rich friends don't go crazy over Jordan's like the friends I know in the "hood". It's not all inclusive and yes there are exceptions but the exception never kills the rule.

I don't think black people age better. I think a lot of black people look young because they dress like teenagers longer. I'm gonna get heat for that but fukk it. :manny:

As one poster already stated, throwing money on yourself doesn't give you "swag", it's a much more intricate matter than that.

I assure you that I can go to Walmart, find a cheap combination of clothes, and still pull more females than most flamboyant brothers out there.

All loud cloth make you do is stand out; your personality, financial status and handsomeness handle the rest from there, and if you score poorly in all three of those departments, your clothes wont matter at all.

who said anything about loud clothing? why do you all confuse so much shyt? knowing how to dress hasn't jack shyt to do with wearing loud and garish clothing. quite the opposite, actually.

i know that walmart doesn't carry shyt that will fit me right, and i don't leave the house unless i'm in clothing that's correctly sized and fitted.
