I was expecting the girl to kill herself after confronting the mother. Black Mirror has gone soft

I saw that Arkangel ending coming a mile away. It was a weak episode overall. It had much more potential.

I kind of expected...

Her filter mode would get permanently stuck in the "ON" position, and she would turn into a psycopathic serial killer because she was incapable of feeling anything when committing violence.

This was another episode with a "happy" ending by Black Mirror standards. She escaped her mother's control and broke the parental monitor unit. That's probably the best thing that could happen to her.
