So clearly I'm gonna assume the game has not really been on sale ever. And that its FINALLY ON SALE ON STEAM for $48
That's cool, what took so long? Sony/PC didn't wanna give no discounts?
Ok Ok, alright, alright Denzel style, putting cases on you nikkaZ but hold on, alright, OK
Now the game is coming to Xbox, and Xbox has the game listed @ $48
As soon as that goes on sale here, STEAM THEN LOWERS ITS PRICE and you have the audacity to say there's no relation or its the reverse
But sir, why the fukk would Xbox gamers pay full price for a game that came out a year ago?
If you're a gamer like you sorta claim to be, then you know good and well that once a game comes over late like this?
Its either discounted or is full price but is the game of the year edition with all the DLC that's been released up until that point for the $60/70/etc price point
So because of that FACT, its FACT the Xbox version is at the price it was always going to be and STEAM waited til that day to lower its price. IF YOU CHOOSE TO IGNORE IT, THAT SAYS EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR ABILITY TO ACCEPT HARD TRUTHS
You had a whole lot of shyt to say about Coorperate greed and acted as if Xbox doing things like this would be bad. But you have a strong bias that has been EXPOSeD!!! and hopefully you will be a better man and poster moving forward

For a larger release, it isn't unheard of to go X amount of time without any sales pushes. EA likes to prevent their FIFA stuff from going on sale because it sells too many copies as an example. They don't have the licensing now, but you get the idea.
I wouldn't attribute this to Xbox anything, especially since historically they've been further behind Steam on the sale front.
Its been a year bruh Unless we talking Nintendo? Then games are half off in 1-3 months TOPS.
Only a handful of franchises wait or be bojanglin on discounting like Activision was with COD. That was the main one I can think of
BULLshyt or Steam exclusive. All EA Sports games get discounted rather quickly on console. Just by what you're about to say next, I will use my AI like brain and assume that what youre' saying about EA was once upon a time true. But its not like that now bruh bruh...
And by historically you're referring to ancient history historically. Because since the Xbox One gen games have been on sale in a STEAM like fashion. Had this debate on here at the time and that's when I learned of humble bundles and that's why stream can't be toiuched
ON top of the fact PC gets tons of games that don't come to console (for good reason, they mostly ass) but the ones that are good, you get to big up steam because of it.
Now Xbox has all those games from PC (on console) but they can't legally be a play anything console. That is exclusive to the open platform that is PC. So Microsoft making a PC that can play Xbox games, it would be leaving money on the table to not offer a storefront for PC games as well since that's literally the point of this whole transition. They can't actually do what I just said unless they provide equal or greater value than Steam
So that's what they are doing, its the only thing they can do to succeed. And if they do this, we as gamers win.
But you seem to think they not doing what they need to do? I'll take notes... But one question?
Can we count this Black Myth discount as the first thing they did to make it happen?
On some real shyt, I'm concerned about this move. Because what if it was coordinated by the group?
As a PC gamer I would be salty I had to wait

It sure was true, I'm just citing previous examples.
It isn't exactly unheard of for major releases to try and hold value by dodging sales. I'm fairly certain it is left up to the publisher on digital storefronts like Steam, but I haven't checked the terms on that for a while and I don't recall reading the MS specifics for Xbox.
For MS to be more sale friendly on the Xbox store as a way to court some customers may work to some extent, but fighting Steam on PC is almost certainly a fools errand at this point. You strike gold like Fortnite and Epic to be on your own, or you eventually cave like EA and Origin. Even MS wasn't publishing on Steam like that until reality set in with the Windows Store.
I don't mind MS trying to allow PC stuff with console brehs. The more the merrier. But I've yet to see a tangible plan there for that integration. The current setup on PC is merely a coexistence. I'm intrigued because most ideas revolve around them leaving money on the table when it comes to Steam on console.
Maybe they do something special software wise. There's methods to run Steam fairly minimized and whatnot, but I don't see them messing around too much and drawing ire from Valve.

I can see you don't really understand what Microsoft is up to
Sony is focused on service, Xbox is winning in providing a service that is amazing. So the goalpost has to be moved until Sony can match
Then you guys will go "Wow, what a great service!!!"
But Microsoft is smart because they want to do that and more. They been trying to do this since the XB1 era but Sony fanboys mostly killed the idea off
Now the cloud can power our games (Sony dones't have a cloud) and systems will for the most part be obsolete.
What all of you seem to be unaware of is how do we access games in this new way of gaming?
It'll be basically an app. So then you need an app storefront for your cloud service. Steam is steam and you can play steam via your PC
Eventually it'll be an app as well, likely running off Azure servers
Either way, the future is now. And here's how it looks my guy...
