Wow, can't believe it's been 13 years. I was in my sophomore year of College. Album aged like fine wine. Matter of fact, it was a Trifecta with "Black Star, Black on Both Sides, Reflection Eternal: Train of Thought". Those 3 LP's are why I will forever have love for Mos Def and Talib. Not to mention the work they did on "Soundbombing II". "Black on Both Sides" musically, Lyrically is just an amazing album. My track on it was the outro, "May-December" even though nobody was rapping, musically it was amazing. I put so many people on to this album. Love it. I wished the soundbombing track "Next Universe" made the album cause it fits the whole style. As well as "Traveling Man" with DJ Honda". Sadly everything after BOBS, Mos musically to me fell off, don't get me wrong, he still dropped heat on his future albums but he hasn't been able to drop an album as complete and solid as his debut:
