I think you inadvertently came up with a solution that will help blacks that "just can't get jobs" because of "displacement" of low-skilled immigrants.

i never said that stopping illegal immigration was a solution what i said is that it makes things worse

i said that illegal immigration and mass migration creates downward pressure on wages of low skilled workers, increases inequality and decreases social cohesion and therefore immigration laws should be enforced

in fact i clearly said that the #1 problem black people have is an anti academic culture, second is white racism and third is a constant influx of low skilled workers into the labor force, in that order

Seeing how from your "perspective" and influx of low-skilled migrants hurts blacks more than anyone else, then why not promote the idea of blacks "doubling down on capitalism" instead of worrying about an influx immigrants "taking" low-skilled jobs?

im not following why you cant do both

but anyways, what i think is the most important is addressing the fact that black people have an anti academic culture and we need to focus on turning african american culture into a positive, forward looking, academically oriented culture

but that doesnt mean we shouldn't address violations of individual rights and economic rights caused by white racism or influxes of low skilled workers which hurt low skilled black workers

there is no contradiction in addressing all those things

Capitalist endeavors>>>>Working for "the man" and so-called "competing" for jobs that only low-skilled immigrants chase after.

I think if the major problem is addressing the anti-academic culture and fixing that within the black community, then the other two factors (white racism, influx of low-skilled migrants) will not be an issue.

like i said the most important thing is changing african american culture to be positive and conducive to academics

until that time comes a lot of black people will get stuck in low skilled labor force

but even if the low skilled americans werent black, low skilled americans in general are more of a priority than low skilled immigrants and in fact low skilled legal immigrants are more important than low skilled illegal immigrants

so imo there is no circumstance under which having an influx of low skilled immigrants, especially illegals would be ok

I think if the major problem is addressing the anti-academic culture and fixing that within the black community, then the other two factors (white racism, influx of low-skilled migrants) will not be an issue.

i thought i had i put them in what i think should be the order of priority, did you not read what i wrote?

Good to hear. The frustrating thing about Detroit has been how it has become the ultimate example for racists and semi-racists to point to and complain about blacks not taking care of shyt. Nevermind that the city was destroyed by an auto industry that financed the construction of massive highways in-and-out of the city, killed the transportation industry, and then watched as the city bled all income out to smaller suburbs; cacs worked in the city then drove out to small suburbs to live/spend money/pay taxes. Detroit is what happens when a city is starved, plain and simple.

That's not to excuse the blatant corruption of some black lawmakers there, but Detroit's fate was sealed before the Civil Rights Era and following strife/white flight/corrupt mayors.

Detroit is seeing more white people move back to the city. It's ESSENTIAL that black people continue to purchase and support black businesses there, so they can benefit from the new population and avoid being pushed out.
