No, because they support their own instead of getting bogged down by bullshyt and questioning every little aspect of the business.

Black people are never going to get ahead until they understand that they need to support one another.

Black people will see a Black business and suddenly they think they're on Shark Tank, Bar Rescue or some sh!t by critiquing damn near everything under the sun while not knowing jack sh!t about running a business their damn self. Funny thing is that they NEVER do this to Asians, middle easterners, and CERTAINLY NOT WHITES. NOPE!

But once a Black person is here trying to get something going on the business tip and suddenly the Negitive N!GGER Comittee shows up to tell you why you're the next Bullet Ball. Fvcking shameful.

Also, to the losers in here talking sh!t about crowd funding please STFU. Every corporation nowadays is accepting donations. Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, Vasigel, etc. are all accepting donations. Why shouldn't a small business do the same?

One of my biggest mistakes with my last venture was not capitalizing on the market for donations and crowd funding. People who fvck with you will support you with their money if you give them the ability to send it. I made it too hard for people who wanted to give me money to get it to me.

Cosign this. The attitude some black Americans have toward supporting their own hints of a deep rooted cultural flaw. It only validates the position of black conservatives, that our issues are mainly cultural.
I find it amazing how some blacks will come up with every excuse to not support their own while patronizing foreign owned businesses. Businesses mind you, that don't really respect them, economically exploits them, and sells them degraded product.
The overall mentality of black Americans is akin to how a slave thinks.

They were going to be closing anyway due to mismanagement. But not before getting some of yall clowns for your donations. Should of put that money in a college fun for your kids or something. i tried to warn yall.

Yeah this looks like a bad investment. Their purpose for needing money seems all over the place. Convenient stores have very small profit margins on goods anyway. Its a tough business.. need to do heavy volume to succeed. I'm all for supporting black businesses ( Although 2 of the 4 the founders of this company are not black) but black people need to be smart with our money as well and not be guilted into giving it away.

They also said they want to hire a kitchen manager and increase the their products they carry. Anyone with business knowledge will tell you labor and inventory are your 2 of your biggest expenses. Why would they increase both of those when they are already struggling to stay afloat? And that would take a lot more than the 22k they were asking for on the fundraiser page.
Now if they were specific and said they were profitable but operating on razor thin margins and just their ac needs to be replaced or something that would be different. But from what Im gathering is that their current business model just isnt working. I would be surprised if they are in business next year.
