I'm going to go see it again next weekend. It's funny how this movie of black excellence has killed any hype for that swirl fantasy A Wrinkle in Time.

Disney shot itself in the foot again. John Carter anyone?

But BP had to be successful cause a lot of young black people, older black people, and other races tagging along to see what is dope about it. A lot of myths about a movie with a black cast and black director have been debunked.

But black folk got to worry about distribution and not just be satisfied with symbolic victories anymore.

How does 1 movie debunk a myth? A marvel movie at that. Or maybe I shouldnt say myth but how does it suddenly give prove the point and not just say be an anomaly? Or better yet how does it convince hollywood or whomever that it isn't.

Time will tell. If you start seeing black leads in movies that become profitable, then we can move forward to independent distribution.

It made its money internationally. Americas response was "another Spiderman film"

You have to remember that Spidey number is international and domestic. This hasnt even released in China yet (March 9th) and they already reported pre sales have broken the Spidey Homecoming ones.

he could be an outsider.. another Marvel villain outside of Wakanda . It's not like this MCU's Black Panther is same as Marvel comics Black Panther. This Black Panther and Wakanda is #AllLifeMatters it's not the comics Black Panther "Wakanda over everything" . This is waterdown to fit a certain certain type of agenda for Disney
