I put my daughter in a "jewish" school for a few years. it cost 2k a month. that network is a guarantee to the best collage and being peers with successful and influential people in the future. just couldnt afford it after awhile and it was for 1st and 2nd grade. I do think we need our cultural experience but I want my daughter to have balance so she can navigate any social and cultural circle.

I could clock that when I was 11 and my folks sent me to private school as a test for a week, off the recommendation of some of the parents of the kids I played travel soccer with.
Them kids acted different af in their day to day lives compared to how they did in our team setting

Supplement your child's formal education with the things that they'll never get during the day. Im lucky I had the parents I had. If there's a rich white school where your kid can get the fundamentals and basics down pat...then there's no reason not to.
But you never want your kid to be the ONLY black kid in class. I get it.

I've been the 'only black' many times. It's only problematic if you not already strong in your identity.
Black women that grow up in all white areas are the worst
they have to deal with normal racism as a black person on top of European beauty standards as a woman, that make them crave white male attention for validation.
Some will lash out and act like they’re super pro black, but it’s only because deep down they want a seat at the table beside white men, because that’s what they’ve been indoctrinated at these white schools to believe is the prize, since they were innocent little girls

This. I went to school with kids who had parents that were surgeons, lawyers, athletes, developers, politicians, CEOs.
showed me a whole new world out there that I wanted. Limiting your pool just limits your options and your dreams IMO.
Send a black child to an all white school, that kid will be damaged.

Would it be optimal for a white person to go to a majority black private school? Or an asian to go to an all black or white private school? Yall always playing dumb. Any situation like that with kids will end up in child bullying/hate.
Those people aren't going to help out a black person.
if they're smart they're more receptive to the kid and willing to let some shyt slide.

I had the choices between a top rated majority white private HS, a selective enrollment public school that was mixed raced, or my all black poor performing neighborhood HS.
I believe my parents made the best decision pushing me towards the selective enrollment school over the private one. Education is important but socialization with your own race is vital as well.
