Yes it does matter. Birth rate and death rate are important because, birth rate replenishes the dying population. For example, White people are dying (Stage 3, Stage 4 & Stage 5) faster than they can reproduce children White Deaths Exceed Births in a Majority of U.S. States to replenish the dying population, that is why is it forcasted that they will be a minority soon, because they can not reproduce children to compete with the other demographics.

It's the same as for Black people, if Black people had a high death to birth ratio, as compared to the White population, our so called 12% population would not have stayed the same in 20 years, our 12% population would have went lower.

For example in 1890 the Black population was 11.9%
