Technically, @HopeKillCure Reeves is a triracial.
I thought Hawaiians were polynesian Asian? Or is 'Red' - Native First Nations New World Indian - still a race by itself?

Keanu is Hapa, not white.... if Asianness mattered in the US.

Speaking of, Africans have a fight on their hands telling Americans they ain't black. Why don't Americans fight just as hard when Asians tell them they aint yellow? :jbhmm:

Part of me finds it to be some sellout shyt since they gonna be treated like the average nikka by society anyway just based on appearance. The other part of me can't fault them becuz I know how this country treats black people

:yeshrug:

This is actually not true and I don't get why some of y'all pretend that biracial people are treated exactly the same as black folks...By both white people and other black people.

Many biracial people admit to receiving some sort of perceived status or privelage , to say that they're treated the same as an average black persons isn't true fam

This is the real thread purpose: appealing to emotion to exclude comp like old white bytches and fat black women.
"fukk those red nikkas, I'm the REAL black man! Common looking and basic with no standout features. Let me virtue signal my way through."
"fukk those young sluts, I am experienced and automatically better! Milf! Cougar!"
"fukk those skinny bytches, I am better! I have all the curves".
You're not AA, stop talking about our racial dynamic.

You should let people know that you have kids with a white woman so that your bias is clear

Hapa or mixed Asians gotta fight to prove they Asian, and even then they ain't fully accepted or expected to know more than someone of full Asian parentage.

Blacks on the other hand, " 1/16th black, you are black!"

That video was suppose to be a joke, but every other group knows that blacks struggle with "blackness" and will take or beg anyone to be black

These dudes are claiming people who are white and have non-black mentalities.

They are begging people like Amber Rose to admit that they black

Wtf for:hhh:

Someone can have biracial parentage and still be black or white or claim to be biracial.:picard:

Bob Marley never claimed to be Biracial, he was always a proud black man.

Johnny Depp never claimed to be Biracial, he was always a proud white man.

Derrick Jeter claimed to be Biracial, he has always said he is both white and black

Clear differences
Johnny Depp is a special case. His ancestors lied to him about being Native American, so he was proud of his Native American heritage, and media white folks talked about how those Cherokee features were what gave him the best of his good looks.

Then the blood tests came back.

Didn't hear about how exotically good looking he was, anymore. No more cheekbone comments. He transformed, to paraphrase Meghan Markle about herself, from the exotic hot white man to being the ugly black boy.

The reason I said what I said was becuz he asked me my opinion on the basis that the biracial person looked physically black. Unless we know someone has parents of two different races, if they look physically black we are gonna assume that's just what they are

@HopeKillCure serious question out of curiousity - if someone is mixed (one black parent, one white/asian/arab/latino/etc parent), but they "claim their blackness"/have a black mentality, grew up with their black family, etc, but looks physically ambiguous, would they be black to you or not?

and regardless of the answer, how would you know of their mentality at first glance? or is that a question you ask upon them explaining their background?

:mjlol:Wow. That's :russ:crazy

Cacs ain't shyt. So you believe he would have identified as a black man or as a biracial if he knew the truth earlier?

One drop was a white creation. Nikkas just took that negativity and embraced it into something positive.

One's ancestors should not be forgotten or replaced.

When someone gets too racist, just pull up their great 3x grandmother -- or father for maximum horror. :yeshrug: One drop was a very potent weapon, it kept folks in and kept folks out. As intended.

Since this is about Hapas, this is a little different. Is being Asian a positive or a negative? Is being white positive or negative? Who holds more power, Asians or Whites?

Is this nikkah not black?

I think Shuan King is what I'm talking about in response to your hypothetical.

ok i feel you, so you saying for the physically ambiguous bi-racial, the burden is on them to make their stance clear and choose a side

by the same token, if shaun king is wishy washy about black issues then that would disqualify him?

i always find this type of convos interesting just cuz there is a segment of population that fall inbetween so its always informative to hear different perspectives on the matter

You get EXACTLY what I'm saying breh.

Amber Rose is ambiguous and these nikkahs begging her to be black and mad when she says she not. :gucci: She not black.

If Shaun King was wishy washy like Amber Rose he clearly wouldn't be black. I don't get why we struggle with this as a people.:dwillhuh:

Yeah, I'm not trying to decide who is and who is not. I'm just saying it ain't that hard and clearly some people are black and some are clearly not because they ain't physically black and don't have a black collective mentality.
