Probably could be some improvement if black people were more engaged in their local and state elections instead of just every 4 years for the Presidential race. Don't just not vote though it has to be some reason they used to hang us,burn our churches , Literacy test , etcc to stop us from voting and why they still too this day continue to try keep us disenfranchised.

:russell: that time of year when people post up excuses for not voting but then complain a year later about not being able to afford a mortgage and college tuition....

There are 40 million black people in this country* (most based in the south). If we were able to unify properly without jim crow era fallacies, then we'd be good. But when you have negroes who keep attempting to recruit other negroes to bask in their weak minded attitudes then.....:beli:

I think we need to vote but start voting our LOCAL young black politicians into office..we need to rock the vote on the local tip more so than worrying about the Feds...and this is coming from a nikka who has never voted but I'm slowly realizing that's a flawed way even though I'm not voting this election either lol

I think people were upset because they didn't like the idea of black people gaining privileges. Also, I think voting was more effective back then than it is now. It was still corrupt but I think its on another level now.

I challenge you to find my posts where I complain about what the president is NOT doing for us. I always talk about black people building what we need on our own. The only exception is the police killings, and that is a violation of the constitution, it doesn't matter what president is in office when it comes to upholding the constitution.

If it cost $1000 to vote then I could see some argument against it.

People are saying votes don't matter. if that's the case, what HARM does voting do? None. If it doesn't matter then it doesn't matter.

Conversely, if it DOES matter.. if it DOES create some effect.. then we should do it. Even if you think the effect is small.

Does 'not voting' have some kind of benefit? Just saves you an hour every two years.

In short, stop that crazy orange motherfxxxer.

And then they bytch about what the president did or didn't do because they didn't pay attention in 8th grade civics and act like a president can pass or repeal any law by decree without the legislative branch of government.

Cats like the OP will devote so much time and energy into silly rants about why people won't vote, but won't take any time to read the Constitution and stay abreast of political and legal ongoings by simply reading the NYT or the WaPo or any other source of jourmalism that can accessed as easily as the coli, learn some basic economy theory and recent political history, and learn the candidates positions and records on issues.

Ignorant people stay ignorant and say don't vote oblivious to the fact that it's that very ignorance on a mass scale that is exactly the things they want to change don't change.

If everybody (or a far greater proportion than what we have now) researched their ballot...the federal, state, and local elections, the amendments, the judges, everything, and made informed decisions to vote the country and the world be much better off.

That's why I made this thread.
