Depending on what the emergency situation for the plane is, there may not be an "escape option". If you're flying in the mountains, you're prolly screwed. If your pilots lose SA or get spatial D at night and can't recover, you're definitely crashing and probably dying.


Folks that have never done it assume you can just bail out with a parachute or ditch in the water, never mind the fact that 99% of folks flying have never jumped out a plane (assuming you even had parachutes), or practiced escaping from an aircraft underwater. (And most of you coli brehs can't even swim. )

There's a reason military aircrews go through that type of expensive-ass training, and it ain't for fun.


But it's a moot point since most coli brehs don't skydive and can't swim, so there's a good probability they'll be fukked either way.
