Not hating on NYC cuz I'm sure their culture pre gentrification was dope as well but man, black neighborhoods in California pre gentrification was an experience that I doubt will ever be replicated again, you just had to be there

I think Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, View Park, Inglewood, Leimart Park, West Adams, Jefferson, and Crenshaw are some of the most beautiful collection of neighborhoods in the US. If black ppl lose the west side of South Central, I might actually riot.
