I don't have problem with forgiveness, but you can't forgive someone who doesn't give a shyt about your forgiveness. Black people have forgiving people who never asked to be forgive in the first place and they never admit what they did was wrong, in their mind they were right and they would do it again. I don't understand how people can forgive somebody who killed one of their own family members and especially a child of theirs. I would just have to be angry for the rest of my life then because there's no way I could forgive somebody who took someone away from me so casually.

The disappointment that I would have for my parents if they chose to forgive if I were to be taken out can't be described.

The problem with black folks being coached to publicly 'forgive' their family member's murderers is that it emboldens other white supremacists and white supremacy sympathizers to go in and kill more of us. Maybe this sounds harsh but it's not just about you and your family, you're endangering the black collective when you publicly forgive the murderers.

If you forgive the guy privately, that's fine. But doing it on TV makes ALL of us look weak and pussified, which puts us in danger. We have to start thinking as a group if we want to compete with the cacs, Latinos, Indians, Koreans etc who are able to push us around economically because they compete as groups.
