Real talk...depends on the situation. Sitting with some white coworkers when your department is 95% white is a little different than being buddy-buddy with all white folks in a diverse environment.

I have friends of all colors and backgrounds. Friends who have helped me grow as a person in various different ways. You’re limiting yourself as a person by not exposing yourself to people from all different backgrounds.

This is a little naive, you can meet a range of different people by keeping your circle black as well. Speaking as a dude that went to a majority white high school but moved to a majority black community mfs really take advantage of how freeing it is to grow up around your own people. I understand not wanting to seem like a close minded idiot but cutting out my white friends was one of the best descions I've ever made for my mental health.

I grew up in Cambridge, went to a school that was fairly diverse, and had my fair share of white friends. I went to a PWI for undergrad, where I made even more white friends.

Though, As black people age and become more acquainted with the world and their place in it, those friendships begin to thin considerably.

I went to law school for 3 years and probably 2-3 of my white classmates even said one word to me.

When I see a group of white people and I see the one black friend, I already know what type of time they are on.
