Herb Alpert
Nirvana
Bjork
Alanis Morissette
Starting to get into Celine Dion
Rolling Stones
David Bowie
Eric Clapton

However, I love EVERY genre BUT COUNTRY :scusthov:

I'm not sure who to be more pissed at, the cacs who box us into this tightly categorized stereotype in where if we so much as listen to a note of a song that isn't hip hop, they insult us or the rest of the black folk that cluelessly go along with the shyt. :scust:

Regardless, I'm gon listen to what I want. fukk 'em. :manny:

Been going to punk rock shows for nearly 20 years. Grew up with the Black Lips, was good friends with Jay Reatard and still know more about rap than most nikkas who listen to it exclusively. :yeshrug:

The Godfathers of techno. Techno started in Detroit by a trio of Kraftwerk/Electrifying Mojo loving BLACK men.
That is only partially true, but it's a fact that there was some influence. And we can argue where Kraftwerk got their influence from? It's laughable when people act as "Italian disco" or early German techno is at the root of House and Techno-House, as if these people were so inventive. Only clueless people with limited knowledge of music make those weird claims.

Ever met one of these motherfukkkas :deadrose:

Swear they're different or mystical because they listen to more than rap :mjlol:

It's an ironic question, because all these genres are rooted in African American culture. Whites simple made copied the music styles. Some call it appropriation.

Classical music was NOT made by the Moors.
I am not saying they did, nor claim they didn't.

There's more to "black" music than just Hip Hop/Rap.

Music is music. As long as it has rhythm, people will dance or nod their heads to it.

The first genre I was introduced to was Rap. Then my pops expanded my taste to Jazz, R&B, Soul, World Music (Africa, Caribbean, etc)
