I thought it was the other way around. they're starting to act more black as they move into gentrified (black) areas. Raising Canes is fried chicken

But it's at the point now where nikkas will literally clown you for not adapting what's traditionally been "white ppl shyt"
It ranges from shyt that might have been goofy (beating our kids vs giving them "agency") to shyt that ain't that deep (eating well done meat, saving plastic bags, turning off lights in a storm, etc)

I remember when I was a kid, I didn't know any black people who kept they dog in the crib. my granddad had a collie back in the day, and that MF'er stayed outside all year. then they next door neighbor had a doberman, and that dog never came in either. I don't know when things shifted, but black folks routinely kept they dogs outside back in the day.
my dog lives in the crib, but I don't allow him upstairs. when I go to bed, he stays his ass downstairs. I don't even put up a gate or nothing. he also does have access to the basement, but he act like he scared to go down there, cuz he never does.
I keep all the bedroom doors and bathroom doors closed when I'm gone tho. I don't want this dog getting any wild ideas.
