Nah, Philly never "looked up to NY"...also, Philly ALWAYS had its own style. Philly has its own slang, fashion, style of music...all that.

In what ways did you think Philly copied/admired NY. Philly has respect for all black cities but nobody in Philly was tryna copy any other city.

Yeah, Philly has it's own style, own regional slang, own culture, own little scenes/sets, it's an east coast city, but really the only thing they share similar are similar layouts, rowhousing, and multiple ethnic enclaves/neighborhoods.

i HIGHLY co-sign this. Especially being born and bred in PA, I've traveled to Philly many times, nikkas aint soft there for real. It's a trip living in NY right now, shyt ain't the same, alot of NYC cats left to go to Philly cause they got priced out of here.
