I agree with this here and this has been my experience. They tend to lean on it HEAVY to get their way.

I don't play that shyt. But they do respond to direct communication very well and I am a direct communicator.

Use to have a direct report who everyone would let slide. He would do that weaponized incompetence bullshyt. I told him once "_____ stop trying to play with me." He smiled real big and tightened up.

I don't let neurodivergence slide. They are very capable in most regards their communication style is just a little different. They make great employees but they can be a bit mischievous.

We are working on that with my daughter right now. She plays too much, especially when it comes to school/homework. He generally ed teacher is a direct person with 30 years in the game and doesn’t play. She is trying to get her together but there’s 21 other children in the classroom.

Her small groups teacher seems to be good peoples as well. I am very direct with her as well. My Wife doesn’t like it at times but understands.

Yeah I have employeed a ton of neurodivergent people. Very direct language is really the key.

Autistic doesnt mean retarded. Its funny how some people are obviously neurodivergent and arent aware of their condition looking down on other neurodivergent people. We all have weirdness in us. Some more than others. Some weirdness is harmful and some weirdness is harmless. Certain weirdness is more socially acceptable than other forms of weirdness but abnormal is abnormal.

I'm sorry that you had to tolerate that. My youngest cousin is on the spectrum and had speech issues hes needed therapy for. My family in one way or another have worked with those with special needs so us being supportive of him wasnt shocking. But I can imagine most people need help dealing with family members with special needs.
