Aaight so I've been using the Coastal Scents black soap w/ shae butter in along with the cleansing brush...my forehead and face for the most part has gotten better but my temple is flaring and looking a little worse...

I've read that there is a process called "purging" where all of the shyt in/on your skin is brought up by the black soap (vitamin A & E and iron) and that it'll eventually get better...so hopefully this shyt will soon come to pass

I don't use anything else other than an exfoliant scrub (w/ jojoba beads and whatnot), astringnt and moisturizing lotion on my face from Treasured Locks...I mix the scrub with the black soap when I'm washing my face and the other two solutions after I shower. I do that 3 times a week. The rest of the week I just wash my face and body with black soap twice a day...when I don't add anything my face gets a little tight. Possibly something to do with the pH.

It seems as though I need to add tea tree oil, ACV and some other shyt.

What brands should I use? What else should I use and how often?

Tightness is normal. Black soap is drying so you should always moisturize after washing with it.

Are you a clean eater? Breaking out around your temple can be a sign of digestive issues. Drinking more water and eating less processed foods may help. Other than that, the brands I use are Shea Moisture and Nubian Heritage. I don't use much else.
Aubrey Organics is a good brand but I've never used their face products

You can also try using a bentonite or rhassoul clay mask once in a while.

Yeah, you know I live in the gym and my diet reflects that...the most I do is a bag of popcorn a couple times a month and some hermit cookies now and then. Plus I drink a lot of water daily with a diet soda here and there.

What about the oils? Should I use tea tree oil on my face post shower? I've heard about a mask earlier in the thread that I'm buying today.

I can't really help you there. I don't use tea tree oil. But you can use it or ACV, in a spray as a toner. Look up natural toners and use it after washing but before moisturizing

Dont put the tea trea oil directly on your skin unless your using it as after shave, but dont use alot. Its strong depending on where you get it from. But if you want to use it as a moisturizer then you have to get something like aloe vera, shea butter, etc. I put a couple drops in the shea butter i use and mix it and its good. If you take baths,(i dont) you can put a couple drops in the tub. Google it its like acv tons of uses.

As far as acv, when you ingest it it helps balances your pH. So that helps with your problem there. Bit you have to keep doing it sometimes skin takes a while to heal, and you have to keep it up.
