ay yo, for some reason I am loving these covers, not cuz they all dope or anything. Just because they are just fun like that.

good to see dudes just fukking around and having fun like that.

Can't hate......
That's how I feel, cats literally flipped a song on some fukkery shyt. Just feel good comedy, especially because these are songs we all know

I read that wiki. I'm just completely taken aback by the fact that this page exists. Then click on the wiki for "signifiyin." It's like these white folks study our culture like we're animals in the wild
It's more like people study cultural movements period.
It's not a "white folks" thing, black people have noticed the divide and differences
in self expression for a minute ow.

On topic :
I'm not against acoustic covers, my beef with a lot of em is they usually don't resemble
the original fukking song in anyway shape or form.
If you're going to do a "Hip-Hop" or "R&B" cover with just a guitar, you better actually know what's going
on in the record you're covering.

Not suck all of the life out of it, strum some random chords and "Sing" or "Rap" the lyrics.
Half the time, I'm left wondering was this a serious attempt ? Or was it just another way to get views ?

One of my favorite youtube cats is a bassist and his cover of Hip-Hop basslines was dope as fukk
and it didn't feel "disrespectful" as if he was treating the music as something "Lesser" or "Stupid".

....
They should be posted on youtube to get some $ for views ...

I like this and think it's creative. Reminds me when my struggling artist homie at UNC acoustic covered Outkast's Humble Mumble at the Cat's Cradle amateur night years ago. He killed it, especially Badu's part (gave me a shout at the end). Then again I am the type that likes both the Dolly Parton original and Whitney Houston version of "I Will always Love You" :manny:
:deadmanny: I have to rep you for keep it 100+ :heh:

This just shows more proof that blacks make these social media sites hot.....Twitter wouldn't be what it is today if not for our presence. These videos are funny and shows how many talented black people there are, but I hate that we can't monetize it for our own benefit. Hell, just look at snapchat....We made that shyt hot. We made Instagram hot. Vine too but yet they're all ran by white hipsters/nerd from Silicon Valley. The fukked up thing is, they'll let you post videos of yourself entertaining, being goofy and twerking all day but they'll censor you the minute when you use their platforms to speak on the real shyt.
