Can't build bunk and keep mass eating once a day especially with his intense workout regiment. His metabolism would be too slow if he ate once a day causing his body try to store fat and burn muscle during daily activity
Actually fasting or once a day is more harmful to your body than just eating normally and watching what you eat
I read or watched an interview with Mauhmoud Abdul Raouf talking about being Muslim in the NBA and having to fast during the season. He said that he and Hakeem Olojuwon both said that their stats always improves when they fasted.
