You never been in a situation where someone started ranting and you decided to keep quiet just so they would stop talking? The lady went on for nearly 4 minutes without receiving any verbal response. Just imagine how bad it would have been if they had actually tried to defend themselves.

Also, have you considered the possibilty that they may have been ordered or trained to avoid engaging the protestors, especially as emotions were running so high?

it's getting to a point where you and anybody else in this thread will argue forever about what exactly the officers were laughing at. I think they were laughing at the protestors, probably someone specifically or they just didn't care and were laughing about something else. Either way, someone took offense to it and reacted. It's her prerogative to feel like that just as it's the officers right to laugh but one's actions has consequences everywhere so .

I still think black Cops who join the force SOLELY to make an example out of the brothers/sisters in their community to appease their White fellow officers are embarrassing. If someone wants to be a cop but they're trying to do something from the inside out, salute to them but the rabbit hole goes deeper than the local precinct.
