HOAs attract petty tyrants.
My HOA is half broken. Poorly managed. Thankfully we are broken into smaller HOA sub divisions. My side we barely pay anything and for the most part they don't fukk with us. But we all own our homes and yards. The other parts are duplexes and separated townhomes so they only own the interior not the exterior. Those cats got hit with a 10k special assessment cause they needed to replace the roofs and they didn't manage it properly so they needed more money. Plus they pay $500 a month. I pay $75. Other than one Karen my neighbors are chill.
