Death To Spookism
When questioned, Professor Dalton Milagres Rigueira, blamed his mother, Maria das Graças, for keeping Gordiano in slave-like conditions. He then argued that she was like family, explaining that he had not encouraged her to study because he did not think it would be to her benefit, according to Fantástico.

Hopefully there is some loophole that allows her eat off that pension somehow now that shes been rescued:lupe:

Cant even imagine how our ancestors lived for generations in poorer circumstances than this:mjcry:

and now that she free, imagine all the ripple effects

1) she will probably be socially awkward
2) she may very know only to serve people
3) she may have dreams, but they will be very simple dreams
and probably so much more

slavery is more than slavery

This article documents it here in the states until the 1960’s, but I’ve heard strong evidence of it happening in isolated pockets well until the 1980’s.

That’s one reason I get so Pissed about conservative minded black folks, it’s not for our benefit, they want to keep us down.

Black People in the US Were Enslaved Well into the 1960s
