whats the return on investment though? To my knowledge black women (and black folk in general) still rank at the bottom as far as salary and property ownership outcomes...economic equity should be the goal, not meaningless accumulation of degrees and accolades

Who knows but nearly 80 percent of black women are the key breadwinner in their family.

probably because a majority percentage are single female headed household..again, the point is economic equity, not degree bread crumbs
Parents who go to college are more like to have children who go to college.

People who go to college make more than those who don't.

The Stat is valuable on its on.

And your dream doesn't come true without more educated blacks.

This is good news, but there's a big thing missing from the stats.

I'm pretty sure that Black women comprise a far disproportionate number of the useless fraud for-profit colleges. They're getting their college stats up but those useless degrees are only sucking money away from the Black community. There needs to be a huge awareness movement to get Black folk out of for-profit colleges and into community colleges and public schools instead.

Wrong, white people who dont go to college on average make and are worth more in terms of net worth (Assets minus liabilities) than black people who do go to college thanks to racism and generational wealth from land...Apart of that equation is student loan debt also which disproportionately effects black folk and especially black women

Black people with 4 year degrees earn more over their lifetime than black people who do not.

The majority of net worth is tied to home ownership and much of that being passed down.

You're conflating multiple issues to get off your talking points, but they don't seen entirely relevant here.

If only there were candidates who've made free education a part of their platform. :troll:

Im not conflating anything, just pointing out that degrees in the larger context of economic equity is meaningless as it pertains to the original post.

Stop with the propaganda. Asians, in particular South Asians, are the most educated group in the US :comeon: Get this :duck: out of here. :camby:

Sadly you are correct
Black women graduate students enroll in higher numbers at for-profits

Us black people really need to stay away from these “Schools”.

From OP

That's a 45% gap :francis:
Yes, but as I said initially, what is the return on investment of attending college for black Americans as far as yearly salaries and property attainment being equitable to whites? Why is that economic equity gap still large between blacks and whites even though blacks are attending college moreso than anytime in history?

In 1963, the average wealth of white families was $121,000 higher than the average wealth of nonwhite families. By 2016, the average wealth of white families ($919,000) was over $700,000 higher than the average wealth of black families ($140,000) and of Hispanic families ($192,000).
