yeah but if i got called a ******, i wouldn't feel as if the word itself oppressed me.

male privilege is evaporating, man. women appear to have far more rights than us -- more reproductive rights, more judicial rights, more socioeconomic rights. i can tell you're on some feminist shyt, but that ideology has already poured the dirt on the black communities grave.

We currently have a national political campaign that is running on the basis of policing women's bodies. We're no where near "utopia" in terms of reproductive rights :merchant: All up in our uteruses and shyt.

And if I'm a feminist I'll take that :manny: Whereas you were probably using that word to shame and silence me, I won't apologize for caring about women and making our struggles known.

I'm not gonna do the back and forth anymore. There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of how oppressive systems work in America, and it is being exposed in this thread. Welfare checks are being used to debunk ideas of male privilege and patriarchy. Welfare fukking checks. Are you serious? At that point in the argument you just have to know to walk away.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, back to the positivity.

Edit: NPR's piece on Black Male Privilege. Maybe this will help make my point a little clearer.

it's not just welfare checks, it's healthcare, student loans, housing. it sounds little but it means a lot when you have absolutely nothing. it is a nice stepping stone to get over the men in your race and whites know that.

the idea of black male privilege is retarded. black men are more likely to die from health issues, more likely to go to prison. more likely to get harsher sentences than other races for the same crime. i mean where the fukk is this privilege because i don't see it. :what:

i'll check out that that npr interview later though.

Then when they get true equality they bytch about it. When they have to pay child support or alimony they say "oh it's not fair." When they get punched back by a dude after they hit him they say "but it's not fair." When they say "my body my choice" it's ok until someone says "ok. Your body, your choice, your RESPONSIBILITY."
Feminists want to have the power and leadership of being men, the privileges and perks of being women and the responsibilities and accountability of being children!

You can fukk as many dusty nikkas as you want and then blame him for your problems and force him to pay child support for opting out of being a father. YOU can also opt out of being a mother by getting an abortion. PLUS AS SOON AS A BLACK WOMAN BECOMES A MOTHER SHE IS CONSIDERED INFALLIBLE.

This oppression doesn't exist. Black women are the only women in America who have absolute freedom. Freedom as to where not only are you free to do whatever you want, but you are free to not face any consequences for your actions. Have a baby out of wedlock by a dead beat? Have some checks. Also have some vouchers and grants for your education.

If there is anyone who needs to shut the fukk up about being oppressed as far as reproduction goes it's black women. You are free to make as many fukked up decisions with your pussies that you want and face ZERO accountability for your actions, plus you get to become infallible, because we all no there is no such thing as a bad black mother.

And I don't care if that's negative. I'm tired of hearing this BULLshyt that no one ever calls out. Don't like what I'm saying? fukk YOU! I don't care. I don't deal with you anymore.

well, the problem i have with feminist is y'all claim to want equal rights but you really want superiority. y'all feel like men have tried to rule the world and failed, now it should be a womans turn to run shyt? :ld: right?

I don't identify as a feminist lol, you've labeled me as such. The feminist movement was very exclusionary to black women in the past and continues to ignore our social politics now.

I'm just someone who cares about women. As a woman navigating a male-dominated world, there are just certain things you see and experience (as opposed to simply reading about it) that you feel is not fair or doesn't put you on a level playing field. I just speak up on it and men label it feminist (mostly as a way to silence or shame, from my experience). It's not something I self-identify with. I'm just speaking my story lol.

Women have run shyt, in very pivotal places...and like Men have had success and failure. Leadership is a human problem it has no gender. For every Fredrick Douglass you have a Harriet Tubman simple as that.

Back to the argument though, being a black man from my observations is the single most difficult master status to overcome in America. Compound the problems that black men and women share, extrapolate that by a EXPONENTIALLY higher incarceration rate, murder rate. Divide that by the fact that socially the black community doesn't uplift intelligence as a VIRTUE in our young men but does for our young women, but attributes like aggressiveness and territorial-ism (for belongings, women and ACTUAL territory) are paramount in men.

Add the fact that workplace discrimination is relegated almost exclusivity to black and latino men, and the fact that black women have decimated the spirit of the black man through her actions, placing the value of a man on his pocketbook and said aggressiveness and not on his ability to be a father or address her physical/emotional needs or his ambition.

Single Parenthood is a SHARED issue and its not exclusive to men or women. While women carry the brunt of the the issue, black men that are products of this phenomenon are often the men contributing to the murder/incarceration rates. Black Men and Women gotta do better in choosing mates, and staying families.

I still love my sistas though....:datazz:

Y'all let this shyt happen when you engage Marcuz. He's decent overall but responding to him in these sort of threads is ridiculous. Pick your battles.
