The black middle class in the DMV was a fake middle class in the first place though. A solid middle class is one built around small businesses, not government jobs. Which is why them going after minority contractors was very alarming since it's obvious what they're trying to accomplish there. At the end the only thriving black communities will be in the Texas area and North Carolina. Lots of black homeowners there and small business owners. Compare that to "immigrants." Every time they were mentioned, he was exhorting the nation to do something on their behalf: to stop deporting/ renditioning them, to let them work, to let them receive benefits of citizenship (entitlements).

I said all that to say, coddling and defending who and where? Booker- African American, the senior Senator from NJ, first black senator from NJ, and former presidential candidate- barely mentioned us, meanwhile, homelessness in his state increased almost 25% from 2023-2024 and 4/10 homeless are black, majority men. Are you speaking as an immigrant? Cuz them and the LGBT are the only ones being coddled and defended.

FBA are on our own, it seems, as usual. We have no defenders, what even are you talking about?

I definitely see your point. You aren’t wrong, but those opportunities were real and available and helped create a solid, well-to-do community. But yea…small businesses still need to be created…. Even still, these are the people who had the means to patronize small businesses in the community.
