All my life I was amazed at how majority of people claim they are broke to the point where to can’t even spare $10-$20. I came to the conclusion recently most are not being literal they just don’t reveal they shyt and in hindsight it’s smart because exposing your hand can open up endless BS so my mantra now is to not tell anybody about my finances I don’t care who they are money topics at this point are annoying to me I don’t even entertain it unless they talking about making money even then if it’s not making sense quick enough I discard what they talking about
*Sorry for the rant, in advance*
There is some truth to this. Only thing is, within the last 2-3 years or so, if somebody said they don't have $10-20 to spare, a lot of the time they really mean it.
I don't know if you ever heard the song 'No Favors' by Yella Beezy, but it's my favorite song. To sum it up, nobody has ever experienced me asking them to borrow money and they never see me "broke", so they assume I got it and love to call/text for money. Which is fine; I don't mind helping and I'm truly glad that I can help, but damn it gets old. And go figure, I'm the one in the family and out of all the friends that has the most kids, a wife; whole family to support but they are still cool with calling me because I don't display when I'm hurting. But that's also because I'm damn good with creating weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual budgets and sticking to them so it's hard to go broke. I can tell you how much money I'm going to have in 5 years, give or take a couple thousand.
Sorry for the rant. Your comment just brought out the frustration I've been having lately with this "borrowing" shyt.
