I agree with Tariq about this, Brother Ben X had a conversation with a brother who disagreed with him pulling up to the FBA expo in a rolls Royce. We're material beings and its nothing wrong with people wanting nice shyt!

Money, good homes and friendship in all walks of life!!

Problem is, black life in the last 25 years been taken over by high end superficial shyt. The idea of having a 9-5 and a college education is 'lame' and 'swagless' and far too many black folk think that life is just one major music video where partying and fukkery is the ideal lifestyle. Materialistic black folk feel like temporary embarrassed millionaires that are forced to live in a basic lifestyle and hate the idea that they can never drive a high end car like a Rolls Royce or travel to exotic destinations and party like Puffy in 1997.

IG, you can forget it. The average black person looks like they make 400k a year and stay partying and stunting.
It's crazy how education has always been, and still is the best route out of poverty for most, but folks look down on that as if they've discovered a better path to success cause they see one cat make it in entertainment but aren't aware of the millions that don't :snoop:

Meanwhile foreigners are sacrificing everything for a chance to send their kid to school in the US to study stem and make something of themselves.

the media and the mediums it’s comprised of - television, film, music, and even social media - exist to instill a set of values in its audience, to inculcate consumers of its output with a perspective through which its owners want us to view the world.

the repetitively distributed content that black america has been subject to for decades has shaped our behavior and attitude.

all of us have been influenced by it, including me.

Only cause the community has been systematically dismantled over generations. Other races can come over here with a free lunch due to the concessions made by black americans but those concessions came at the price of our own communities. I didn't watch the video and that may be beyond the scope of what Tariq was saying but everything needs to be placed in context. There's a reason a lot of the youth look up to rappers over the "old heads".

Anytime someone says "what have the old heads done" they need to tell the whole story.

The problem is the majority of the talkers and old nikkas (like on this site) aren’t going to the places where the people they finger wag and cry about are.

They don’t go into the hoods and the trenches to talk to people there, (who are the ones they complain about) they do all there talking about saving the “Black Community” in their high city apartments or Clean Suburbs.

Rappers are comfortable in that environment in the hood and the trenches they’ll go back on their block pull up in the newest whip, give money to the the street nikkas and to the kids, show there success for everyone to aspire to.

So if you’re not willing to go and preach where those most affected are, and I don’t blame not wanting to risk your life, if you’re crying and whining about rappers and pookies then not doing anything about it then stop whining.

These agents are literally telling you WHO they are and yall still following them and posting their videos? Some yall are agents too. Must be. Tariq nasheed is an agent. Notice all he does is mislead, misinform, ask for money and cause division. He should just reinvite himself into another scam because this one is stale.

Smart man,the kids are genetically modified just like their parents before them. The youth have become cancer cells,so of course they respect rappers who are cancer cells. They have an unquenchqble thirst to consume until the host is dead:respect:

We strongly reccomend not to focus too much on the youth, and for the youth not to focus on what these old g.m.o nikkas are saying and doing.

They look up to rappers because a lot of them don’t have fathers in the home. If you saw a man taking care of business everyday, you wouldn’t feel the need to model your life after an entertainer.

Nope. It's about media more than its about the example in the home. In a perfect world, a child seeing what his parents do would be in the end all be all. But in this evil world we live in where young impressionable children's minds are under assault 24/7, a child can see examples of his or her parents doing the right thing and choose to go another way.

I'm not saying the parents have no role. Absolutely they do. But it has to be in conjunction with the role that the 24/7 media machine plays in the minds of the youth.

Which is why we have to gain control of our own media and our image that's displayed through the 24/7 media. If we are able to put out positive messages through media, then that PLUS the examples of the father and mother in the home will almost always give the child a different outlook on life... a good outlook on life.

But unfortunately parents pushing a good image without control of the media pushed on our community is like fighting an uphill battle. A battle that often times the parents wind up losing.

He isn't lying, unfortunately. Its not unlike being a square all our lives even when we came from the same background but the POS who did dirt for years and turned his life around gets love for being "real." For a subset of folks, sense can't be told.

Unfortunately? He doesn't see a problem with black youth looking to fukking rappers for political leadership and he is disrespecting regular everyday "elders" who worked hard and have acheived FAR more for our communities and our rights with what little they have than the collective of million and billion dollar Hip Hop entertainers who sit on their money and would never even think to put their wealth together for a black political cause. Much more likely to catch them sitting across from Tucker Carlson or Nick Fuentes or some alt-right a$$hole agreeing with everything they say like sorry puppy dogs.

This man is a damn snake deliberately trying to mislead black people with his lazy barbershop babble.

sounds like an old stream but still applies

How much longer will the mythos of rappers being the apex of Black Manhood last?
:jbhmm:

It will go on forever as long as we have slick c00n grifters like Tariq coming down black peoples ears telling them elders who protested, fought for, and achieved civil rights in this country are lame, being college educated is lame, being a registered voter is lame (unless you're a registered Republican. Then you're a rebellious free thinker), protesting with liberal youth and fighting for real change is lame. Being a superficial do-nothing bootlicking "social conservative" who looks to drunk entertainers for thought leadership is what's cool.

Guy is an agent who dedicates every day to suppressing real black political movement and engineering (young) black people into becoming docile idiots who don't vote, let white people decide our society and our laws, eagerly gives white supremacists "a chance" and beg for "a seat at the table" with them while aimlessly directing all our issues at liberalism and the gay community. It's like making sure the next generation of black voters are as comfortable and as agreeable with white supremacy, and as uncomfortable with pro-right liberalism as possible is his only goal.
