There is a lot of oversimplified explanations in here, regarding HOW certain communities are able to build up resources and generational wealth, I grew up in a city (SD) with second largest Iraq/Chaldean population in the US, next to Detroit, so I have ties going back 20 years to these families. I was in elementary with kids I didn't even know were Chaldean, because we were just children. There's a line between mythologizing these people, and painting an accurate picture of how this happens.

Also, there are consequences to their lifestyle/cultural choices, that go beyond money and owning businesses, which should be discussed, I'll write out a little more later.

About the bootstraps comment.

The black experience in America is wholly diff from any other minority. It's very disingious to say shyt like other immigrants been coming up while ignoring the despicable past of cacs stifling black success even in within the last 100 or even now to some extent.

It hasn't even been a lifetime since shyt like Jim Crow or Black Wall Street.
Any apparent wide black success used to get snuffed out. Over bs reasons.

I'm just saying recent history can't be forgotten.

Even Byron Allen had to sue over 7+ TV corporations for racial discrimination just to get his shyt on their channels.

True, but they ALLOW these Arabs to extract the money out of black communities, because they keep giving them their money.

Now i know someone will say, "well where are they gonna buy chips, sodas, and chili dogs etc from if they stop going there?" Either go somewhere else or here's an even better idea, instead of giving their money to Arabs, the black men in these areas should save and pool their money together to serve their own communities. I remember i said that on here once before and there were a bunch of excuses. Dudes got expensive cars, jewelry, clothes etc from trapping but couldn't even get a food truck popping or something? I gotta agrewe with the other dude in here, it's pretty pathetic.

It's not even like it's just a minority. In the MAJORITY of black communities across the United States, non black men own the businesses.

Brothers don't like to hear this, but the world doesn't care about feelings, it's all about RESOURCES. What you PRODUCE/PROVIDE. Most black american men in 2017 are consumers, who complain about how they're treated by other races of employers and producers (i.e. cacs, arabs, etc)

It's a shame because the exact same thing is happening is some african countries.

In my own country, lebanese are running the show with their big stores. :snoop:

Above the fray.
Exactly.

Bro, the problem is, the mentality that exists even in this thread. Dudes are talking like Arabs are doing something wrong (by extracting wealth out of our communities through their businesses). They open businesses and hire each other, ONLY each other. They get richer off of US. And break bread with EACH OTHER.

That's how you're SUPPOSED to do it.

You open businesses with your race, hire each other, keep the money amongst yourselves as much as possible, and pass your businesses on.

exactly..... lot of them are from the merchant class in their home countries, but the way they operate is completely natural. Also as immigrants, they are going to bond along ethnic or religious lines in ways that they might have done back home.

Everybody has been anti black for centuries..
Living through the 90s, I see the similarities in the story..
Nobody wants to be black or acknowledge the fact they rode our wave during civil rights. Sure we had allies but it was to feed their selfish needs and desires.
Now we are seeing a pendulum swing were a lot of black people are tired of always sticking up for others and never getting the same help in return. Facing bigotry in their own neighborhoods from people who call you "my friend"..
That's why I cant be mad at the "Hold your own nuts" movement.
At the end of it all, I wish people could live out Dr. Kings vision, but racism, hate and bigotry for black people is too interwoven in the fabric of the world..

Dr. King was misguided. His views only work if everyone has the same moral compass or set of values as you. 50 years later and they still could care less about black life. They've just become more inconspicuous in their behavior. Plus, they killed the man anyway. The older I get, the colder I become to other races. All that I have a dream, we shall overcome nonsense was exactly that. Nonsense.

I don't think he was misguided but I think he believed in humanity..
But humanity has shown time and time again its true nature.
I think a lot of our parents wanted inclusion but didn't think of the repercussions that come along with it.
I've questioned the Civil Rights Movement, Religion and the effects it has on black people for years now..
I've tried to look at it from every angle, talk to elders,etc..
Many were just trying to survive, raise their families the best why they knew how and just wanted a simple life. Even when black people rose up to have their own shyt, Causasians came through with violence and malice, which in turn they taught the world to do the same to us.
Sometimes I feel black people are way to nice to others and that's been our downfall for years only to be met with nonsense on the other end.
I really don't have a problem with other races(WASPS) are the only ones I can't stand and never will.
But at the same time, I don't have empathy for what they are going through at this moment because black folks have spent years, screaming at the top of their lungs that you are just buying into propaganda and they will eventually turn on you.
Somehow black people need to find their voice again through economics..
The boycotts and seat ins(although from my stand point we're too complimentary ) did work and had an effect on the states and were a vital weapon..
Cacs(others as well),only respond to money and i wish black people would respond accordingly. Stop being afraid(if you have a self sufficient business) to only hire blacks and don't crumble to accusations of being a racist.
That's why Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, etc are winning..
They openly practice this thought process but for some reason, as black people, we need everyone to like us..
I've been done with that for years..
We have the biggest buying power in America but don't break bread or trust each other. That's a shame and painful within itself.
It truly is up to us to take back our power.
Not saying we shouldn't listen to the wisdom and stories of our elders(because without knowledge, we are fighting a war blindly) but we have to start to place our own mark on this world. It's cool to have allies but we can't fight their fights anymore and we need to focus on us...
But the problem is, how do we get the masses to buy all into our own survival.

Best way to piss off an arab is to date or marry their women. Nothing will get arabs more vexed when they see their daughters & sisters getting piped by bbc.
I don't know where you live, by they are generally not that attractive where I am.
