I've encountered Spanish, Romanian and Polish chicks in bars and clubs here in London and those chicks are on it hard (I'm British Jamaican) but at the end of the day they just want your dikk. It's a far cry from adoration.

What about the down-to-earth ones actually IN Spain?

A lot of African Americans and white Americans seem to view Europe as a racist continent or a continent so 'liberal' and 'progressive' that the people completely ignore race. No prizes for guessing which ethnicity sees which.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. There are an awful lot of people that dont give two fukks about race - once you come here and give something back. On the flipside, there are pockets of people and areas were it its unsafe for a non white to spend too much time in. A black doctor saving lifes wouldnt even get a pass.

Some places - totally unsafe. Some places - they will go out of their way to accommodate you.

I started this thread in response to the Italian black minister getting bananas chucked at her. A lot of misconceptions arose. I would hate for one of my brothers or sisters to turn down an opportunity in Europe, due to their fear of the race hate that they would face. There are many of us blacks in Europe posting in chea and I hope some of us could answer questions on what is life like in x European country or city.

I agree with you. Many Americans warned me that Parisians hate black americans but all i got was kindness from both the Black ppl and White.. I was also told there arent many black ppl in Ireland so they will act weird towards me. Yeah there werent many black people but people were very courteous to me both in Dublin and London. Ive been to many European countries alone and ive been treated very well.
Unfortunately, this is a misconception that is passed along by people that have never even been to these countries.

Spain on a whole is a fukked country when it comes to racism, on some next level shyt. Same goes for the whole of Europe

I was born and raised in Italy, and outside of a run-in with a little Italian dude when i was a kid, i've never had any problems.
When i go visit my family, I don't feel any hostility, especially since i can spit Italian like a native Guildo. Once they find out you're native Italian, and aren't' there to peddle bootleg Gucci purses, people are coo..
On a trip back in the day, my ex was getting a lot of crazy looks because she was a Mexican chick with dreadlocks, and everyone was thinking she was a gypsy -type of looks all day, every day.

I've been to barcelona, as recently this January. The weather is great, the city's well organized (imo), the people are cool there and the city is very diverse, by Spain's standards.

The women there were . Clubs were poppin (they party hard in bcn, it ain't for rookies. Need a lot of energy), and the vibe was mad cool. The beach was nice as well.

I'm sure there is cism in other parts of the country, and probably parts of barcelona too. But overall in barcelona it wasn't even an issue during my stay.

And yes, im black. Have you been to Barcelona (or Madrid) breh?

I'm starting to get the feeling that many folks that are saying that _________ country is racist, especially the western European ones, have never set foot there. Unfortunately, the more people hear such things, the less they are willing to go there or travel at all, which is a shame.

If its a place were extreme shyt is going on like in Greece, parts of Eastern Europe or Russia, I understand. Beyond that, consider giving it a look.

That's TV breh, not real life. It is not as bad as a most other countries though, you are unlikely to be verbally abused or physically attacked due to your race and there are good employment opportunities unlike some countries where a black breh will struggle to find employment regardless of his qualifications. However, there definitely is a level of racism about, mainly towards muslim pakistanis and young black men due to stereotyping for terrorism and street crime.

I see your point, and that's fair, but in my experience yes they will differentiate, as fukked up as it is. And it's a lot of brothers from the (French) Islands here as well (Guadalupe, Martinique etc.) who aren't Muslims. Either way it's racism/prejudice, no point in rating the shyt lol

If you looking for a job though stay as far away from France as possible, employers are extremely racist and so are the cops.
