Which part of england has pubs/clubs with a no black policy? My ends are multi racial and everybody just jams together. I know if you go to pure white man areas there is some racism but I never knew there was actually pubs/clubs with a no black policy.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not. But lets keep it real there are thousands of clubs that don't let young black males in

The walkabout in wimbledon springs to mind, they dont let blacks in. I've lost count of the amount of clubs I've been to in London and got turned away for the obvious reason

You get the odd racist bouncers up here but not really like that where you know a place is no blacks. A group of boys wasn't getting in nowhere regardless of white or black, you either went in twos or with chicks. I also don't really go to clubs with that much white people in anyway, dancehall scene up here is all yardies except for one african club.

I lived in Italy (Ancona, a medium-sized town in the Marche Region, and moved around a lot) for a year and a half, only had ONE account of soft racism...(in Sicily)

I've been thinking about moving abroad to Belgium, France, or The Netherlands. Can you comment on either of those countries? @IrishBrother

Let's not get carried away here. Of course you got Vlaams Belang and N-VA who are really big there, but there are normal people in Flanders too, no need to generalize.

Breh, most blacks in France are Muslim so they won't make any differentiation between you or an Arab.

France is a nice place to live for a student, the young white french are cool people and their women

If you looking for a job though stay as far away from France as possible, employers are extremely racist and so are the cops.

As for the UK, well London is nice since it's a foreigner majority city but i'd stay away from the north (Manchester, Newcastle...)

In my experience, not true. While you can assume that a Northern African is Muslim, the same can't be said about Black African immigrants. There are tons of African immigrants coming from Ivory Coast, Cameroun, CAR, Benin, Togo, the Congos etc who are not Muslim. French racism is mostly towards Arabs, and even more specifically towards Northern Africans (even though they are not technically "arabs") imo (NOT SAYING there is no racism towards black people).

To put it more generally, we also have to understand that Black people are not as much "part" of European history as it is in the US. Most European countries have only started having sizeable black populations very recently, I know that Italy didn't become a migration country before...the 80s, the same probably applies to Spain, Greece etc. So added to residual racism, you have the fact that people just don't KNOW black people, and when you consider that the very fact that there already is a Black minister in Italy is an incredible feat (countries like France or Belgium, who have had sizeable black populations for much longer and actually had colonies in Sub-saharean Africa still haven't had a black member of government). And like most incredible feats, it is met with ugly ignorance from a minority of Italians.

But when one considers for how long there has been a sizeable black population in France (and that the DOM-TOM are majoritarily Black) one could expect/hope that there would've been some more. Italy doesn't even have a sizeable Black population right now.

Just a few numbers :
- There are 2 million black people in metropolitan France out of 63 million people, that's a little above 3% (this figure may be higher, but ethnic statistics are forbidden in France), 1/5 of them are west indians (400K), the rest are from sub-saharian Africa (1.6M). There are 6 million maghrebi people, so they are 3 times more than black people.
- There are 3.5 million people who lives in overseas department and territories (DOM-TOM) but I don't know which ratio of black people there is then. But let's say more than a half of them is black, that makes less than 6% of the whole french population.
- Taubira is the Ministress of Justice which is one of the 5 kingly ministries. That's a great honour for both a woman and for a black person and she's both.
- There is also George Pau-Langevin (West Indian and their names ) who's also black, which is a junior ministress of educational success
- Let's not forget that the first secretary of the Socialist Party (the party in power) right now is a black man : Harlem Désir.

I can't check right now but I think the first black member of government in France was in the 1920's. He was a mixed guy from Martinique. He was involved with Pétain and Laval so I think he got swept under the rug... There were a few others prominent political figures like Monnerville who was President of Senate in the 50's.

If you ever go to Panthéon -where French great men are honored- you will find some black men such as Toussaint Louverture, Félix Eboué, Aimé Césaire...

All this doesn't really mean shyt in the grand scheme of things but hey...

And I gotta agree with @LLMR : I'm french and I can differentiate west indian from african descent black people at 99%. You hear them talk you know, it's that simple. Obviously you may make a mistake from time to time but still, there are cultural references that can't be mistaken.
