My mum brought me and my younger brehs and sis'. We got treated alright. I worked hard and eventually got EU and Irish citizenship. Whats the problem? I am born and bred a Nigerian. But I still respect my Irish citizenship. Whats the problem?

You have an accent? Has anyone ever bobbed your gozznozzle for having a wank?

That's what I don't understand that US "interracial" concept, like if different complexions gives different type of humans and that leads to... crossbreeding. That notion is infamous to me, extremely racist.
And yeah, it's definitely not unusual to see mixed couples in Paris and in France overall. The only difficulties are sometimes between africans and arabs. In some suburbs, they don't seem to get along like that and there have been cases of Romeos and Juliets ending with deaths (which is extremely stupid).

But really, as a tourist, you don't even need to go to the suburbs because ain't nothing to see for you there. Life can be bad in some projects where poverty can be high (even in the very Paris : for example the 13th, 18th, 19th and 20th districts have rough areas that you should avoid at all costs) but that's like everywhere. Going to the parisian suburbs (the "Great Paris", which is really the parisian region and that's different from the city of Paris) is like visiting NYC and taking a few hours to go to Queensbridge...
France is a very centralized country unfortunately and Paris is like a magnet where everything happens, it's the heart and the brain of the country, and even if there are many others great touristic areas, Paris is a must see.
But Paris is also a distorted reality of the french way of life because life is different whether you go to the North (close to Belgium and the Netherlands), the South (the mediterranean way :noah:, corsica :noah:, or close to the catalan life), the West (either very celtic or atlantic), the East (more germanic) or Center being more rural (not really touristic but still)

I think that's that, really.
I don't blame african americans acting that way considering the american history, I just sometimes find very uncomfortable that to some of you, everything revolves about your complexion, a-hem, your "race". It's just weird from my european point of view.....

Our problem as Black folks in Amerikkka is that even though we're outsiders because of our race, we don't see how American we really are in comparison to everyone else.

We're arrogant as White folks are in that sense. WE think that we get to define what's Black for EVERYONE else in the world and when brothers from Europe or Latin America try to put their two cents in, we just call em Uncle Toms and shyt because they don't view race and shyt EXACTLY the way we do.

Well, we've got to under stand that a lot of the way that we do shyt is fukked up and a lot of time other nikkaz are right to avoid that shyt like the plague.

Say what you will, but I gotta respect people who wear their beliefs on their sleeve, as opposed to the sniveling little bytch-boy-type who hides behind an online handle.
I'm not confining their behavior, but I'd rather know who hates me instead of being paranoid about the "smile to your face" type of racist.

Face it, breh, racism ain't going anywhere any time soon.
Better to confront it head on, than to pretend the shyt ain't real....

Exactly, that's why Marcus Garvey said the "KKK are better friends to Black people than all the hypocritical Whites put together".

nikkaz don't know.

White folks who keep it real are WAYYYY better than those who do that PC shyt and be lyin' to a nikka's face.

Honestly I don't blame y'all, I perfectly understand where you come from and why you HAVE TO act that way.

But sometimes I have the feeling that the US is very segregated even if there are plenty (way more than in Europe IMO) of successful black people. Sometimes, it doesn't appear to me that black americans "feel" american at all. It just doesn't seem good for your identity to be exclusively based around one's complexion (being a part of it, it's perfectly fine though).
I was looking at Hidden Colors 1 the other day and even if I get the point of the doc I couldn't finish it because by the 20th minute, I was already tired about the "we" vs "them" ("we invented that", "we are the source of this", "we are the originators of that", "we did this".). I understand the necessary reclaim because of the past (or even) present spoliation but I feel like this documentary would have been so much better if it would have focused on the forgotten facts in History from the whole human kind point view instead of just the african POV : more like recalibrating the history balance which have been wrongfully tweaked since Europeans colonized the world. Instead of that I had to watch the "we africans invented martials arts", "we african invented the wheel", "we are the source of christianity" and so on/

The adversity against White people cringes me, not because I was educated to not give a fukk (growing up, I had all type of friend's origins, so I never cared like that about complexions) but because that creates a complex in a whole community which is then constantly basing its behaviors around it (and therefore creating a kind of dependence). When I (partially) watched that doc I was wondering if the interviewees realized how much pushing this black thing revealed about how complexed they were about White people (in my opinion obviously)
anyone in here effed with Italy? Whats the social climate like there?
I have an italian professor which I see quite often it tells me the political and economic climate are absolutely fukked up.
Since Beppe Grillo came and crushed the buildings (well it's was already crushed but now it's worse), the trust from the to the politicians is extremely thin.
You also have a high unemployement (12% overall but nearly 40 for the young adults) and constant backlash against immigration. Italy is now seeing more and more italians from african/arab descent and that shakes up the country's whole foundation because many people have difficulties to cope with that (see Kyenge's abuse these days). They are basically in a state that France was 15/20 years ago.
But I'm not italian so that just think I heard.
[...]
From what I understand, in Western Europe, it's mainly the Muslim population that is getting the most backlash. Whereas Eastern Europe and Russia just seem to hate anybody that isn't White, period.

While I think Europe is overall cool, the shytty economies and mass immigration over there has been causing things to build up and start to boil over a bit. I have a feeling things might eventually combust after a while.

With that said, I still want to go back and wouldn't mind living over there for a bit (not permanently though). That even includes visiting Russia.
Yeah, muslim people are really the scapegoat over here (but it's the same everywhere where muslim ain't the main religion)
Europe is just a christian continent in fact, that's the reason. I mean when the Pope got elected there were specials all day about it and France is supposed to be a laic country !
But in a sense I can't blame Europe to stand their ground because when Europeans go to the Middle West or muslim countries, they have to act by the country's standards, so I can't hate that when Europeans do it : you have to respect the country you live/work/visit in.
Muslim claim are not baseless though : they need their rights to have their religious beliefs respected, to be helped against discrimination, mosques to pray in because sometimes they have to pray in the streets :

It's just that for example in France, religious "rights" are sometimes difficult to endorse because "laicité" is the center of our identity.

By the way, if you want, there was/is a russian posting here. Don't remember his SN but he had a thread titled "ask a russian anything" (or something like that).

I've been to Russia, Ukraine, Poland and Romania

I never experienced anything racial just stares. I saw some Africans in Romania though I was shocked as hell

In Europe the most racists are the slavic nations (Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, Poland, Belorussia etc) after which Italy....Italians are really racists

In Romania the majority really doesn't care about race, lotta African black folks coming in Romania to study

Italians are really racist but not the type to beat you up and kill you like russians, ukrainians and polands, they may utter racialslurs at you etc., also there are us bases in italy as well.

Jazzy's been to France, Belgium and Italy and never had any problems. Italians were surprisingly kind, especially this old guy that came and talked to Jazzy. French people thought I was french.

:comeon::heh: at dumbass nikkas who've clearly never been to England in here trying to say that it and London are one of the most racist areas in Europe nikka please, least racist country in Europe along with France, London is probably the most diverse city in Europe along with Paris. This aint Jazzy saying that racism doesn't exist because it does, there's racism in every country in the world, in England there's White on Black racism, Black on White racism, Asian on Black, Black on Asian, White on Asian etc.
Blacks dont get let into clubs in London :stopitslime::bryan: this fake ass nikka hoopsdreams is straight up trolling and lying, nikka probably tried to go into a club with tracksuit bottoms and football trainers.
