Because there is no societal reprocussions for doing so..

Also, they are given the benefit of the doubt and within their code, their word is bond, especially against non-whites in general and Blacks in particular.

Lastly, many of them feel that they are on a higher moral strata and their deeds/actions supercedes non-whites in all aspects of life.
