That's really all this is. It's nikkas trying hard to be "Oh I'm not a sheep. I disagree with the popular crowd"

Fresh you one of the voices of reason on this site but nah. You gonna act like they haven't completely made urban R&B obsolete to make room for stale shyt like Adele, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith? I hate "hey I'm different" nikkas too but this is obviously not that

fuhk nyggas mad for?

dont hate her cuz todays R&B is trash..

Taking some random bytch home from the club while having too much liquor. lol

blame your artists nygga
Or maybe the execs are telling Black artists "nah" slow, soulful songs aren't selling, but then turn around and push the Adeles and Sam Smiths as true soul artists. But they don't sound like R&B artists to me. They sound like pop artists that sing with more feeling. But they are blurring the lines in order to marginalize Black R&B artists. Just like the song Mary J. Blige had with Sam Smith, they didn't play her verse on the white stations, but they played the hell out of the song with her verse on the 2 Black stations we have.

He clearly stated twice that Adele is talented so idk how you nikka's are getting "he's bitter" out of this

fukk Diddy for making it cool to dismiss critical thinking an objective criticism as "hating". You guys gotta chill with that shyt

Acknowledging her talent doesn't negate anything. It's clear the argument was that Adele sold 3 million copies and people are labeling her the Queen of Soul. Last time I checked, Aretha Franklin was the Queen of Soul. It seems he's allowing what he's been reading in regard to Adele and other white artists cloud his perception. Just because they print such opinions in their magazines doesn't make it true. Yet, here we are throwing other Black artists under the bus all while talking about why another Black artist is labeled "off brand".

are or aren't?

and the second highlighted is funny as shyt...

Thats a crock of shyt being as tho Jill Scott, Jazmyn Sullivan, Chrissette Michele, Melanie Fiona, Marsha Ambrosius and others have been signed and releasing music for years now. Black radio wont give them the push. They wait on the latest Tinashes to drop records.. White radio will push Adele tho... They pushed Amy.. When they get a unique artist with a VOICE. They push them...
