but you can use the Steak Umm brand for a faster cook without going through the shaving process. The meat cooks in less than a minute.
Skirt steak breh.
I went ahead and baught a Carbon Steel Griddle insert that can convert my grill to a griddle just waiting for it to come in. At that point I don't see a reason to get a Blackstone. Any brothers out there notice a different in just using a griddle insert??

That's all you need.

It's just a griddle. Heat on a flat surface.

Only difference is, once you are done using the griddle, you actually have a regular grill and can grill other stuff. Someone with a dedicated Blackstone might not have that option.

People have been doing the "griddle" for 60 years probably longer using a sheet pan for various things, veggies for fajitas etc. and of course people have dropped pancake batter and eggs on it.

Some people use a dedicated device. Others use a device and use the attachments. I have the rotisserie for my smoker and grill, cast iron grill grates, griddles, and such. But I use my grills year round.

Ima ask yall. Does the shyt make food taste any better? Pause. Like cooking on a charcoal grill you get those charcoal flavor. What u get from the griddle? Anything special? I don't get the reasoning.
Convenience and uniform cooking of a variety of things is the appeal. I cook a lot and I have a vertical offset smoker, a Webber kettle style grill and blackstone and all three serve completely different purposes. I wouldn't do a brisket on a blackstone and I wouldn't (can't) do fajitas and hibachi on my big smoker.

The ease/speed of cooking has made meals so much easier, especially with the 36" one. A piece of advice to anybody that just got one or is thinking about getting one is to make sure you clean it up after every use, wipe it down with oil after you clean it, and get some of those cheap aluminum inserts (got like 100 for $15 from Amazon) to prevent your drain trap from getting dirty and rusted over.

Last thing I made was Philly Cheesesteaks. Used the Blackstone Cheesesteak seasoning, provolone, onions, and Marvin rolls. Of course actual shaved sirlion will always be better but you can use the Steak Umm brand for a faster cook without going through the shaving process. The meat cooks in less than a minute. The fam enjoyed it.
I'm actually doing that tonight, daughters in town and asked for some Cheesesteaks

My lady was talking to her sister in law and through regular conversation said "He's getting the grill ready, he bought 10lbs of beef and is making chopped cheese."

These mfs drove 25 mins and happened to be there 2 hrs later as we're making plates talking bout "We were in the neighborhood, we had to go to........Lowe's..." "Oh....we haven't eaten yet....we were going to have dinner at home, but if you have some sure.....we'll eat....."

I got the 28” 2 burner one, but the big boys are on sale now everywhere with the air fryers and warming drawing included.

shopping

I’d get that if I was just now copping one.

I’ve seen the combo with the pizza oven for $1500
